Deion Sanders continues to prove why he’s a game-changer. He has completely transformed the Colorado Buffaloes. Last year, they were a 4-8 disaster. This year? 9-4! He’s not just a coach; he’s a culture shifter. He’s instilled a winning mentality and brought in top talent, turning them into a force in Big 12. Even a pro tennis star, someone who knows a thing or two about high-pressure situations, is blown away by Coach Prime’s leadership.

What’s your perspective on:

Deion Sanders: Is he the best thing to happen to college football in the last decade?

Have an interesting take?

Well, haters can keep hating on the Buffs all they want, but there’s one undeniable fact: Deion Sanders has completely flipped the script for them. They went from ‘just playing for clicks’ to one of the best programs out there. His charisma is so contagious, it’s not just limited to football. Even players from rival schools are in awe of what Coach Prime’s done. Case in point: Florida’s star Tennis player Ben Shelton posted his admiration for him on his IG story, “How to run a program.” Talk about respect.

Deion Sanders’ impact on young minds is nothing short of remarkable. Now, he’s got tennis star Ben Shelton on his list of admirers. Despite the tough BYU bowl game, Shelton’s compliment speaks volumes about how Coach Prime has truly stunned everyone. Plus, don’t overlook Shelton’s achievements: a US Open semifinal appearance and a Tokyo title win, all before he was even old enough to shave! It’s a bit of a weird comparison, but just like Ben, Coach Prime too is a game-changer who led the Buffs to their first bowl appearance since 2020.

But Deion Sanders’ achievements speak for themselves. Just have a look at this: under him, the Buffs became the second 9-win campaign in two decades. Isn’t that surprising? And if that doesn’t sound like much of a big deal, then how about the fact that Folsom Field made an attendance record for the second straight season under Prime Time? Plus, let’s not get started on this year’s achievements.

So yes, Ben’s right: let’s learn how to run a program from him that not only produces extraordinary players but also a strong team.

After a slow start to 2024, Colorado quickly turned things around under Coach Prime, and now there’s no question about what Deion Sanders can do. Like for starters, the Buffs made their Big 12 debut this season, which was a solid test of Coach Prime’s caliber. There were inconsistencies too.

Sure, they dropped one against Nebraska and needed a miracle to beat Baylor; they also fell to Kansas State, but they also outclassed Colorado State and Oklahoma State. But yes, a tough loss to the Jayhawks crushed their playoff hopes, but a 9-4 finish? Not too shabby for the Buffs, right?

Now there were speculations going around about Deion Sanders’ status with the team. We all know that Shedeur, Shilo, and Travis’s exit from the team for the NFL is really hard for Coach Prime to process. But then he seemed quite satisfied with them taking a big step toward their future, despite ending their CFB season on a bitter note. Yeah, the Alamo Bowl. But never mind, as Prime Time says, “I don’t look forward to it, but I do because that means they are going to another level, another chapter of life, and they’re going to soar.” But will their exit mean Coach Prime’s exit, too?

Even though Deion Sanders has no plan to do it, people are urging him to take that step. Interesting, right? Well, recently sports journalist Stephen A. Smith made a bold statement asking the Buckeyes to hire Coach Prime as their next head coach.

He said, “He brings that sizzle… he pays for himself because of his popularity. It’s so huge. That’s what you’re looking for if you’re Ohio State. Ryan Day doesn’t do that for you.” That’s weird, even after Ohio State’s remarkable victory against Tennessee. Plus, that’s not the only alleged team we have; the NFL team Dallas Cowboys is in the mix too.

But as intriguing as all this sounds, Coach Prime has a future plan ready for the Buffs. Duh, how can we forget Julian Lewis? We all know how desperately Deion Sanders wanted him on the roster, and with Shedeur out for the drafts, it’s JuJu who will take forward the Buffs’ legacy with Prime Time, even though they have Kaidon Salter on the team. Also, who puts in all the brainpower for the team and then just walks away?
