2024 will be the year of redemption for Coach Prime and the Buffs. With the games right around the corner, Deion Sanders is putting it all into the camp to bring a new revival for his boys. He has already revamped the offense and the defense of the team with the addition of Patt Shurmur and Jordan Seaton. Deion has also brought in a new x-receiver, Will Sheppard, to help Shedeur Sanders with his passes.

Now, during the camp meeting, on August 15th, we find Deion Sanders bringing out one of the greatest defensive players ever in football history to motivate the Buffs. “Your talent is just like your gift. It works hand in hand with your curse. I learned more in my losses than I learned from my wins,” Ray Lewis, former Ravens LB, tells the boys. Lewis goes on to tell the boys that they gotta learn from all their losses and get their game together. Every defeat will teach them something new and every failure will teach them how to get better. Even back on July 29th, Coach Prime made it very clear to the boys, “We don’t have the next day. We have now.” The team’s gotta get everything together because the pressure is mounting. Back on the LeBatard Show, Chris Fallica explained that Deion Sanders has the most pressure on him this year.

Coach Prime had already received major criticism from Paul Finebaum during SEC Media Days. Finebaum had claimed that the Buffs will not be making playoffs this year. Hell, even on the AP preseason polls, the Buffs didn’t even make the top 25 list. Not only that, Andy Staples made it very clear on his show that everybody wants to beat Colorado to the ground. Even Jordan Reid from ESPN had warned in his scouting report that the Buffs must build up their defense and protect Shedeur. The kid had a 9.8% sack rate for his dropbacks last year. However, as Dewey Smith mentioned back on the Pregame Show, “Destruction is going to be released on college football.” Shedeur, Travis, and some other players have already shown a hell lot of promise.

Back on the Pregame Show, Uncle Neely and Tolly Carr got into a discussion regarding the overall progress the boys have made this year. The major highlights were Shedeur’s change in accuracy and Travis Hunter’s weight gain. From 65% to 77%, that’s the progress Shedeur has made in his overall accuracy. The kid has rocked the proactive session and is much faster on the field. Hunter, on the other hand, has gained around 17 pounds. He is stronger and is looking like a monster.

However, those 2 aren’t the only ones you should keep an eye out for. Back on August 12th, Will Sheppard mentioned a WR from the Buffs who was out to take Hunter’s elite WR status.Imma have to go with Drelon,” Sheppard had mentioned. Drelon Miller is the new freshman on the buffs who’s been making some noise during the practice sessions. The kid is already labeled as the No.64 player at the national level and also as the No.13 WR as well. The 10th addition for the 2024 class will make some splash when the games start. Let’s hope Coach Prime can finally redeem himself.
