Home/College Football

What has to be the most impressive comeback story y’all have seen this season? Yeah, the Colorado Buffs. Not only did Deion Sanders recover his reputation after the 4-8 disaster, but after 6 long years, the Buffs are in the Bowl games and have had one of the best runs so far. Now, this makes you wonder: What’s next for Deion Sanders? This man just popped in, built the program, and made the Buffs a household name, so will he leave when his sons go off to the NFL? Right now, there are a lot of questions surrounding Deion Sanders’ next move. The main argument is that he has done more than enough this season to prove he is all set for the NFL game. If Paul Finebaum is rooting for a “Prime Time in NFL” moment, then you just know Deion did a good job this year.

But then again, this argument brings up another question: Will Coach Prime go to a different team, or will he follow Shedeur Sanders? Well, if the latter ends up happening, then someone has a suggestion. Back on Instagram, ESPN shared what an AFC Executive mentioned about the entire Deion and Shedeur move. “I hope for Shedeur that [Deion Sanders doesn’t coach him in the NFL] and he has to be his own man in his own career,” the AFC Exec had mentioned. This idea makes sense. Now see, whatever Shedeur is right now is because of Deion, and no one is going to deny that.

This man switched up the entire team in order to make sure that the mistakes Shedeur made back in 2023 did not repeat. Did it work? Absolutely. He was sacked way less than he was last year. Covered way more yards (from 3200+ to 3900+) and threw way more touchdowns. All in all, Shedeur was the perfect package to create a strong Buffs offense.

Now should he be let out of his father’s shadow and venture into the NFL world alone? Well, for his career, yeah, it could end up doing wonders. This entire “he is Deion’s” kid argument will instantly fade if Shedeur manages to replicate strong success in the league. So, a win-win for the father and son duo.

But then again, Coach Prime has made it very clear that he is not going to allow Shedeur to take the shots. Way back, Deion mentioned that he would “pull an Eli” if Shedeur made a wrong choice when it came down to the NFL draft. So separating him from his son won’t be easy. And also, from a profit perspective, it doesn’t make much sense. So, we might have the perfect team where these two can make it work without any fuss.

What’s your perspective on:

Is it time for Shedeur Sanders to step out of Deion's shadow and prove himself in the NFL?

Have an interesting take?

Okay, so the Cowboys. Jerry Jones has been on a spree this year. And no, it is not a good one. First, he agreed on Dak Prescott‘s outrageous contract. Good investment? Yeah, with Dak out because of the hamstring injury, it is anything but a good investment. Second, he decided that the Dallas Cowboys were too “broke” to acquire Derrick Henry.

We wonder why they were “broke”. Anyway, that was a bad choice as Henry is doing amazing this season. Now finally, the decision to rely on Mike McCarthy to lead the charge has given Jones a 5-7 season.

Not only does this team need a new quarterback, but they also need a new head coach. And well, Deion and Shedeur make sense. Even Marvin Harrison Sr. agreed to the idea and pointed out that if Jones gets to make a pick between Coach Prime and Bill Belichick, then Deion was the better choice.

While you might think that Shedeur should leave his father’s shadow, will it make sense? The dude is doing amazing under Deion’s guidance, and both of them make such a dynamic duo. Why not try to get em together for that increased rating and skill?
