On October 23, Jahkeem “THANOS” Stewart shared a post from On3 Recruits, confirming his visit to the upcoming Ohio State vs. Nebraska game. “News, 5-star DL Jahkeem Stewart will visit Ohio State for its game against Nebraska on Saturday,” read the post. Sharing the same, Stewart wrote, “Go bucks,” expressing his faith in Ryan Day‘s team. As he recently reclassified from the 2026 class to the 2025 cycle, he has managed to attract considerable eyes. Given recent updates on this story, it looks like Oregon HC Dan Lanning‘s hopes to land Stewart are on thin ice. Let’s learn what it is about.
Analyst Josh Newberg in conversation with analyst Steve, unwrapped Jahkeem Stewart’s Ohio visit.“An unofficial visit, I think, shows you how high Ohio State really is on Stewart’s list as the Buckeyes battle Oregon, LSU, and USC down the stretch for one of the most coveted players regardless of position in the country,” On3’s Steve Wiltfong said.
Ohio State might just be a few hours away from landing a commitment from a 5-star prospect, depending on their victory over Nebraska today. “Ohio State’s a program he could really see himself at for a couple of reasons. First, he has a great relationship with Larry Johnson and LaAllan Clark, the two defensive line coaches,” added Wiltfong.

Further, he said, “Johnson, his historic track record really resonates with Stewart, who feels like he could develop under both of those coaches. Then, because of Ohio State’s consistency, they’re always ranked in the top five, top 10, year in and year out. They always boast some of the best defensive linemen in the country that hear their names called high in the NFL Draft.”
The 6-foot-5.5, 270-pounder named Buckeyes one of his top schools, while the other programs on his mind are Oregon, USC, and LSU. A few days ago, he saw his desired team losing against Oregon, and now he’s up for two visits to OSU. Following this weekend, Stewart will return for Ohio State’s game against Michigan. One key thing here is that from Ryan Day to DL coach Larry Johnson, everyone has contact with Stewert, and it won’t be a surprise if he ends up there. But where does Jahkeem Stewert have scheduled visits apart from Ohio State?

Previously, the top uncommitted defensive linemean had a front row seat to for the Oregon vs. Ohio State at the Autzen Stadium, where the Ducks emerged victorious. After this visit with his family, it was almost certain that Dan Lanning’s program was in the mix to secure Stewart’s committment. Something that was confirmed by On3’s Steve Wiltfong.
“He has called Dan Lanning a ‘defensive genius.’ He got to come out to Autzen Stadium and soak in that atmosphere.” Wiltfong continued. “He said he saw everything he needed to see… I think coming out of this visit, Oregon has a great chance to land Jahkeem Stewart.”
In the coming days, Stewart is planning to make visits to USC and LSU. Besides that, Stewart is set for a visit to Oregon in November. It’s been quite a few times Stewart has visited Columbus and he’s quite familiar with the staff as well.”I feel like I could fit perfectly in the defense,” Stewart said after his visit to OSU in June.

With that, Ohio might land a talented player in their 2025 class because Stewart was selected for the MaxPreps sophomore all-American on the defensive line at New Orleans St. Augustine High School back in 2023. In total, he completed his sophomore campaign with 85 tackles, 33 TFL, and 20 sacks. Impressive!
Ohio holds a high chance to grab his attention given Saturday’s game against Nebraska, which is going to be a roadmap for Jahkeem Stewart to Ohio State.
