Deion Sanders and the Buffs have been dealing with intense situations in the world of college football lately. The 2024 season is here and people keep constantly pointing fingers at the Buffs and doubt their ability to do anything this year. However, let’s take you guys away from all that headache for once. Love or hate Coach Prime, you still gotta admit that this man has done a heck lot for his team and other people as well.

And today on August 20th, we see Deion handing a very special gift to someone. Blender took to Instagram to share a picture of Deion Sanders with Peggy Coppom. “This season, we’re making history by honoring Peggy as the first fan ever to receive a NIL deal,” Blender wrote in their caption. If you don’t know Peggy, then you don’t know Buffs. She has been the heart of the team, supporting the boys for over eight decades. As Blender had mentioned, this is the first that a fan has gotten a chance to engage in a NIL deal. Blenders, the eyewear company Deion is partnered with, has decided to make custom sleeves with Peggy on them. For every sleeve sold, the 99-year-old super fan would receive $1. “Oh my gosh,” was Peggy’s first reaction when the news was broken to her by Blender’s founder Chase Fisher.

The good news doesn’t stop there. Back in July, we heard from CU confidant Laura Levy that Deion is planning something special for Peggy as her 100th birthday approaches. “going to get her to the playoffs in epic fashion,” Levy wrote in an Instagram post. While we still don’t know if the Buffs will make it to the national championships, Coach Prime has promised to make sure that Peggy is there during the playoffs and gets to see her favorite team in action. It’s kind of wild to think that this same man has been bashed by the internet for being “arrogant” and a “fraud”. However, keeping the bitter things aside, fans had a massive uproar when they first heard the news.

One fan was excited when they heard the news. “WE LOVE PEGGY!!!! Let’s gooo🚀🚀🚀,” they commented under the post. Coach Prime and Peggy have grown very close over the years. We saw the Jolly grandma make an appearance during the CU Black and Gold game as well. She was also spotted breaking some moves with Gronk back on Big Noon by Fox. Another fan admired Peggy for being the amazing person she was. They wrote, “You’re the best Ms. Peggy ❤💪🏿”.

One more fan was quite happy with the entire story. “Incredible story!! Go Ms. Peggy!!,” they mentioned in the comment section. Another fan was quick to appreciate Deion for taking this initiative. “Coach Prime changing the game. Many more fan NIL deals to follow,” they wrote. Knowing how supportive Coach Prime has always been, we can see more such deals in the future. Finally, a fan wrote, “Y’all, let’s run it up for Ms. Peggy!!!! 🚀🚀🚀🚀.” It’s safe to say that Peggy is probably the most favorite person in the entire Buffs fandom.
