Are the Texas Longhorns going to be in the playoffs? Wait, Longhorns fans, you must be eager to hear that, but Steve Sarkisian needs one more win to ensure two things- a playoff spot and an SEC Championship matchup against the Bulldogs. Aggies, on the other hand, can do with a win. Better if it’s two! To have a chance at the playoffs. What’s going on with the teams?

Texas head coach Sarkisian has been busy solving his quarterback issues all season. When his starboy Quinn Ewers got injured, his replacement Arch Manning didn’t let Sark down, but Ewers has been okayish since his return. We all know that guy did wonders the last season, but this year, he’s not in his full form. Ever since he returned from that injury, his performance has been a little shaky, and college football analysts are revealing the results of it.

Rick Neuheisel, a man with tremendous knowledge of this sport and who’s been with CBS Sports for a long time, shares his views on the upcoming Longhorns vs. Aggies game. You’d be shocked to see his comments! “Both hands are on the wheel right here for coach Sark and Quinn Ewers, both hands, and he’s trying to, you know, scheme throws and get him a completion here. Get him a completion there. They’ve averaged less than 6.5 yards in each of their last two games per attempt. That’s not going to get done in that kind of environment. We know about the SEC that the home field matters; this is going to be the home field, plus 12, 13, 14, and 15. Give me the Aggies! Aggies!”

The former UCLA head coach put out a major shocker for Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns fans. He clearly said that the Aggies will have an upper hand entering this game. Although the Longhorns are 5.5-point favorites as per the latest DraftKings sportsbook, Neuheisel made it clear that the Aggies will play in the SEC championship game against Georgia after beating the Longhorns.

To turn Neuheisel’s words into reality, the Aggies need to win this game, and then they need to crush Georgia to secure a spot in the extended 12-team playoff picture. If they succeed in making that happen, then they’ll secure a first-round bye as well. Well, it’s still a tough nut to crack for a team that allowed 43 points to an unranked Auburn in their last game. On the other hand, the Longhorns will enter the game with their never-ending QB issues. Yeah, Ewers is injured again! Do we have any updates from Steve Sarkisian for this game?

Steve Sarkisian’s updates on his quarterback Quinn Ewers’ injury

Hold tight, Longhorns fam; here’s the scoop. QB1 Quinn Ewers is still in the conversations for Saturday’s Lone Star showdown against the Aggies. After tweaking his ankle in last week’s dub over Kentucky, the possibilities were shaky. But guess what? As per the latest injury reports from head coach Steve Sarkisian, our guy is officially “probable” for this game!

Besides that, there are other players from the Longhorns squad, like DB Derek Williams., RB CJ Baxter, RB Christian Clark, and RB Velton Gardner, who are all out for this game following injuries. While there are still hopes for Quinn Ewers’s safe return. On the other hand, Texas A&M is not looking good either.

Players like WR Cyrus Allen and DB Tyreek Chabell are not going to be playing on Saturday, and their quarterbacks, Jaylen Henderson and RB Rueben Owens, are both iffy. Moreover, what makes this much scarier is that it’s their first meet after facing each other back in 2011, and it’s giving major main character vibes. For now, the rivalry vibes are high, and so are the drama and chaos!
