This season, Lane Kiffin has been in the headlines for both good and bad reasons. Started the season with four back-to-back victories, but a defeat against LSU raised significant questions, and “Fire Kiffin” was trending again this season. Now after week 14, college football playoff rankings have been released; he is back in the spotlight. This time for his strong opposing views.

Well, for the past few weeks, the college football committee has been getting hate for their bias. Nothing new; Kiffin joined the debate and raised significant questions as his team is ranked behind Miami and Alabama.

He took to X and wrote, “You guys actually meet for days and come up with these rankings?? @CFBPlayoff Do you actually watch the quality of players, teams, and road environments (we played in one of yours this year 💤) or just try and make the ACC feel relevant ?? Btw one of your teams paid us not to play again next year. Same #12 spot you guys had Clemson ranked last week.  How did that go against the @SEC ??? Rewatch UGA Clemson closely if you want a reminder of the two conferences. #SpotTheBall anywhere  @ACCFootball #RemeberTakeAKnee”

Before Lane Kiffin, Dabo Swinney, head coach of Clemson, took a dig at the CFP and mentioned, “All you can do is play the schedule that you have. It is what it is. We basically have an SEC-Big Ten Invitational. That’s really what we’ve got in college football. So you just got to focus on what you got.”

See, week 13 changed the entire dynamics of college football. The top seven teams lost to their opponents. Then came week 14, with some playoff hopes for ACC teams. Now, Clemson will play against SMU in the ACC Championship Game. And if they win, they not only secure the conference title but also guarantee a spot in the college football playoffs. As mentioned, many took a jab at the committee. David Pollack backed Ole Miss and Lane Kiffin. Moving forward, let’s see what his take on the new rankings is.

David Pollack backed Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss

This season, Ole Miss and Alabama are sailing in the same boat with a 9-3 record. But why is Tide ranked above Ole Miss? Many had the same questions. David Pollack did not hesitate and raised significant questions backing Kiffin.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Lane Kiffin right to call out the playoff committee, or is he just stirring the pot?

Have an interesting take?

“If you want me to take Ole Miss. Let’s say Ole Miss was in [don’t have any blowout losses] every single game they played. Ole Miss has a more impressive win against a higher-ranked team with Georgia [Bulldogs]. Ole Miss had losses; they lost to a bad team. So did Alabama. But Ole Miss never got stopped, but Alabama did. Again, I’m making the case for Ole Miss.”

Is the committee helping Alabama because of the legacy they hold? Although Ole Miss had registered three losses, they were very close games. On the other hand, Alabama, who is ranked above them at No. 11, had a disappointing week 13. They put on a flop show against the Oklahoma Sooners. Earlier, Bama also lost to an unranked Vanderbilt, followed by a loss to Tennessee. Still, the CFP picture is not clear. What are the next steps the committee will take to put Tide in the playoffs bracket?
