Is Shedeur Sanders truly improving, or are his stats just a clever manipulation by Colorado?

Okay, what is happening? See, 2023 was NOT a good year for Shedeur Sanders, and we all know why. The dude was arrogant on that turf and rarely let go of the football. What did that get him? The most sacked QB title. This year, Deion Sanders finally decided to do something about it and then came in Pat Shurmur. So what’s going on with Shedeur Sanders right now? In 11 games, Shedeur had 52 sacks under his name. Right now? Dude has only hit 25 in 8 total games. Isn’t that an improvement? Even if we look at stats, Shedeur Sanders had managed to rack up around 27 touchdowns with a total completion of 69% last year. In 2024, with 8 games in, Shedeur has already hit the 21 touchdowns spot with a completion of 73%.

It ain’t no wonder why Mel Kiper, back on ESPN First Draft, decided to place Shedeur on the No.1 spot for the Raiders draft options. However, we just spotted a massive expose dropped by First Round Mock on X. “Shedeur Sanders’ stats at Colorado are misleading. His completion percentage and his yardage total is misleading. I’ve studied every game at Colorado this season. It’s one big manipulation designed to create a strong stat line for him and get him selected in the first-round of the 2025 NFL Draft,” First Round Mock wrote in their post. These are straight-up wild accusations. So, according to the First Round, Colorado is buffing up Shedeur stats, and whatever he has done this season is “misleading.” Like what?

Yes, we will agree that the First Round raises some good points regarding the deep pass inconsistency (something which we even spotted during the Huskers showdown) and the issues with the overall throws, but to mark all of that as fake is weird. See, Shedeur ain’t the best QB in the CFB right now. While Kiper has placed in the No.1 spot, he has also placed Cam Ward in second.

Ward, on so many levels, is better than Shedeur Sanders. The Hurricanes are on a winning streak and nothing has able to stop their momentum. However, calling Shedeur bad or average is also a wrong take. If you want to know how much Shedeur has improved over the year, then you have to check out the Baylor and the Kansas State game.

Buffs were down 24-31 in the final quarter of the game and with barely any time left on the clock, Shedeur managed to pull one of the best throws we have seen all season. Dude tossed a 43-yard Hail Mary toward the endzone FROM A COLLAPSING POCKET and managed to push the Buffs into overtime.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Shedeur Sanders truly improving, or are his stats just a clever manipulation by Colorado?

Have an interesting take?

Now some might say that it was pure “luck” or something. Then how do you explain the Kansas State game? Shedeur had no one on that turf. The entire Buffs WR depth was in shambles because of injuries. Deion Sanders star players; Travis Hunter and Jimmy Horn Jr. were both sidelined because of their injuries and even Omarion Miller suffered a season-ending lower leg injury. Despite all that, Shedeur still managed to snag 3 touchdowns for the boys and collected 388 yards under his belt.

He landed 34 out of 40 pass attempts and only handed out 1 interception in a game where the Buffs were handicapped. No matter what the First Round says, people who have followed Shedeur’s journey would know that he truly has evolved as QB, and coming to the conversation of him being in the Raiders? Well, we all know that is going to happen.

Shedeur Sanders for the Raiders

No matter how much some analysts hate the idea, Raiders fans want Shedeur Sanders. Back when the Aces faced off against Liberty, we had spotted Shedeur having a conversation with Raiders owner Mark Davis. A certain line from that conversation still stands out. “Who knows, you might be home right now,” was something Davis had told Shedeur. This added fuel to the fire.

Fans took to Instagram to show their support for the cause. Well, Shedeur under Antonio Pierce makes sense. Raiders wasted their time waiting for Michael Penix Jr. with that fail, they need a better QB for the 2025 draft. CU Alum Matt McChesney had pointed out long back that Shedeur Sanders needs to train under a young mind.

Pierce is the best pick because he has the vision and even Deion Sanders has agreed that his sons would love to play under Pierce. With the season almost about to end and the Buffs standing on a 6-2 run, Shedeur has the perfect opportunity to silence the haters by taking his team on a 10-2 run. This is it.
