Well, when you are in Colorado Buffaloes, it’s hard to mark yourself safe from the contagious Sanders fever. We are talking about Deion Sanders’ favorite, Julian “JuJu” Lewis. The young chap is yet to get some gridiron action in Boulder. However, the 17-year-old has already become an absolute sensation. Well, as we all know, the Sanders have a penchant for Cybertruck. Now, the $2 million Lewis signs himself onto the list of the Cybertruck club. And guess what? The Colorado Buffaloes athletes could no longer keep calm.

Things might be a little tough for Lewis right at the moment. After all, he had been made to feel too special even before he had committed to Deion’s squad. From having Boulder’s famous joint’s burger named after him to being the main character in 101-year-old Peggy Coppom’s video. An absolute red carpet treatment! So, it was obvious that Deion saw Lewis filling his son Shedeur Sanders’ shoes. But the reality is a bit different. Lewis might have to hold on a little longer to grab Shedeur’s seat. After all, right now, the chances are high for Liberty Flames quarterback Kaidon Salter to hold the reins, whereas JuJu will be the backup. However, this did not leave Lewis to hit the pause button when it comes to living his life to the fullest.

On March 26, he dropped a banger on IG. Lewis posted a couple of snaps posing in front of a Tesla Cybertruck. All the pictures captured the quarterback in different moods. Him chilling in the boot with his dog, hiding his eyes with his cap, and so on. Not to forget how he added some fun element in his photoshoot with an angry version of the superman hush doll. Did he buy the Tesla Cybertruck?

Well, Lewis kept it a suspense as in the caption he just dropped two emojis, “⛹🏽⛹🏽.” However, since JuJu sees Shedeur as his idol, it’s believed that he would follow the former Buffs QB’s steps. Shedeur never stops himself from flexing his high-tech toys. The year 2023 showed him pushing a Rolls-Royce and a Mercedes-Benz. Back in March last year, he added a ‘Cyberbeast’, which happened to be Tesla’s most expensive version of the electric truck and came with a $110k price tag. And guess what? Shedeur happened to be the first owner in the Centennial State. Lewis’ photo drop had his teammates hyping up his new wheels in no time.

Buffs’ brotherhood stands strong for Julian Lewis

When it comes to NIL deals, Julian Lewis has already tapped into the area that college football offers. He has signed NIL deals with multiple companies, including athletic apparel brand Alo and men’s jewelry brand Jaxxon. The Carrollton High School star became Alo Yoga’s first high school athlete, joining stars J.J. McCarthy and Caleb Williams as ambassadors for the brand. One of his recent grand deals came with Leaf Trading Cards, which was reported as a six-figure deal. That’s how the 17-year-old is climbing the ladder. And his mates are more than proud. The 2025 Texas blue-chip WR Quanell Farrakhan Jr. commented a “🤞🏽” emoji. Lewis and Farrakhan already have a close bond since JuJu was one of the first ones to hype the WR as he reshared his commitment news with emojis of bags of dollars.

When it comes to Mainland three-star DL transfer Christian Hudson, his and Lewis’ journey has been quite similar. Like JuJu had been committed to USC Trojans and flipped his commitment to Boulder, Hudson too chose the Buffs over UCF. Knowing about Lewis’ shiny new ride, he too was thrilled. The defensive lineman dropped a “🥶” emoji. The Eagles Landing Christian Academy star cornerback Colton Hood also joined the crowd. The Buffs are returning key contributors to a big-play defense, and Hood is one of them. That’s how he is all ready to support Lewis on and off the gridiron as he commented, “🤞🏽.”

What’s your perspective on:

Will JuJu Lewis live up to the Sanders legacy, or is he just a flashy newcomer?

Have an interesting take?

Then comes RJ Johnson. Just like Lewis is waiting to fill Shedeur’s seat, Johnson is about to take up Deion’s son Shilo’s seat. So, the fight is kind of similar between them. On that note, Johnson thought of dropping some words of motivation for JuJu, “Lemme hold sum.”

It’s now that the Colorado linebacker Mantrez Walker and Julian Lewis play at the same time. However, they have been close friends since their childhood and even played for the same little league team. So, JuJu’s success feels like a personal success for Walker as he commented, “family.” May Julian Lewis’ first chapter in Colorado be as bold and electric as his Cybertruck!
