If you are still unaware, Jimmy Horn Sr.’s dad single-handedly raised his son Jimmy, and he also played football back in his day till college level. Later in his life, to meet the month’s end, he worked as a truck driver and barber.

Jimmy’s life hit a rough patch as his dad landed in prison for some kind of drug-related legal case. Moreover, it was Horn Sr. who instilled hard work and passion for this sport in Jimmy’s life and look at him now. This dude had recorded 33 receptions for 434 yards and managed a single touchdown for the ten games he played this season. Besides his stats and the stuff, everyone in the college football world believes Jimmy is a rising star. It was just an example of how dedicated Deion Sanders is towards his boys. So coming back to what we’re talking about, not only does Deion Sanders walk the field with Jimmy Horn Jr. but he shares a strong bond with his dad also. Last year, after Colorado’s win over TCU in 2023, Deion Sanders took some time and spoke with Jimmy Horn Sr., where Jimmy’s dad thanked him for taking care of his son.

On top of that, Deion Sanders has recorded a video as well to plead for Jimmy Horn Sr.’s release. “Your honor, I just want to tell you candidly that I’m praying for Jimmy Horn Sr., who’s been incarcerated for multiple years and who has his court date today. I just want you to know that I’ve talked to Jimmy Horn Sr. And truly he has served a multitude of years; he has repented for what has transpired and he is truly a different man.”

Moving forward in this video, Dion Sanders advocates before the judge to find some kindness in his heart and look into this person’s heart as he’s a changed man now. He followed by expressing that his son Jimmy Horn Jr. needs him more than ever and said that he deserves a second chance.

Besides that on the work front, Jimmy Horn Jr. last played in Colorado’s game against the Utah Utes, where he suffered an injury during the first half. Afterward, he missed the last two games of the season and there’s still no clarity about his return for the Buff’s bowl game. His fans are waiting for his safe return to the Colorado fields!
