Is Jalen Milroe the next big thing in college football, or just a flash in the pan?

“Even going back to high school. I feel free to be me out there,” quarterback Jalen Milroe had a conversation with ESPN while he was preparing for the biggest matchup of this season. Rayn Williams and Milroe displayed some phenomenal performances throughout the game. Williams, who carried an aggressive aura of the field, caught a 75-yard pass from quarterback Milroe with just 2:18 minutes remaining and helped Crimson Tide secure a 41-34 victory.

Since Alabama’s fourth win, Crimson Tide is all over the media. But their biggest competition, the Georgia Bulldogs, lost their first game of the season. Bulldogs fans did not expect a defeat in the highly anticipated faceoff. Their popular quarterback is trolled badly for his performance that night, and the updated 2025 Quarterback rankings are going viral.

Milroe, who made the bold statement before the game, stuck to his words and displayed a strong performance. He has been doing these since the season opener for Crimson Tide. His recent performance has helped No. 4 Alabama climb the top spot in the latest AP poll. Because of his performance, the rising quarterback has reached the number four spot with an 82.2 adjusted score. While Georgia’s quarterback Carson Beck, who was once ahead of Milroe, is in the second-last position with 13.7 adjusted scores.

Recently, Shannaon Sharpe, the former NFL legend, shed light on Carson Beck’s performance. He shared the conversation on his YouTube channel. Nightcap also compared him with Colorado’s quarterback Shedeur Sanders and said, “I think he’s good. I think if Shedeur Sanders was in Georgia, they wouldn’t lose a game. That’d be. It’s hard to evaluate a guy when he’s surrounded by such great talent, and I think that was the hardest thing, one of the hardest evaluations.”

Fans and analysts did not expect Georgia to lose against Alabama. Sharpe appreciating Sanders is not a new thing because the entire college football is doing so. His displayed amazing speed and game plan against the UCF Kings, who were looking very strong on both sides. It’s been two weeks still, and the Sanders Hail Mary touchdown is still on everybody’s mind. He is making long-lasting impressions with his abilities and amazing skills.

Sharpe is not the only one who criticized Gerogia Quarterback after his disappointing performance. Aaron Torres, host of FOX Sports Radio, also shared his thoughts on Beck’s performance and asked him to be grateful. “Carson Beck should be thankful that Dylan Raiola decommitted and ended up at Nebraska. Because this would be the moment he got benched and might never get his job back.” Smart’s team will face Auburn this Saturday. Let’s see if they bounce back or give the critics many more reasons to doubt them.
