You may love or hate Deion Sanders, but ignoring Coach Prime is never really an option. Yes, that how irresistible his character is. It makes it hard not to pay attention. Drawing from this, CFB insider drops in with a bold statement about Deion’s character. No, it has got nothing to do with any of his latest moves or decisions, but it’s his character with a good serving of “ego” that does all the talking. Interestingly, going by his analysis this would be a barrier that might stop the Buffs’ HC’s transition to NFL even after his son Shedeur would swap wagons. Meanwhile, Colorado has already gone that extra mile to keep Deion in the Boulder hood.
Deion is such an interesting personality that every other day the analyst comes up with one or the other theory for the Buffs HC. This time on the Dan Patrick Show, the host Dan Patrick along with Chris Simms became busy exploring Deion’s chances in the NFL. Now that his son, Shedeur has reached the last lap of his college career, it makes the discussion even more crucial. The former NFL QB Simms at first looked quite positive about Coach Prime being a good fit at NFL, “I think Deion Sanders is made more for the NFL than he is for college football.”

To further substantiate his point, he pointed at the Buffs HC’s USP, “Deion wants to lead. He wants to get the guys ready, he wants to walk in the meeting room and go ‘Wait, we can’t do this, that’s stupid, stupid. Let’s do that, that, and that.’ But Patrick seemed to hoard a totally different opinion about the HC. To him, the NFL x Deion collab is not going to work. Not for some external factor but for Deion himself.
After all, he is the “King Deion” reigning over college sports. Patrick then cut to the chase, “I think his ego is plated that ‘Oh my God they’re coming to play for me not Colorado they’re coming to play for me.” Maybe Colorado has fallen in love with this egoistic version of Coach Prime. Already, the Buffs’ army is fortifying their fortress and are going to any extent to woo Deion and keep him in Boulder for the longest while. Did they get any hint?

Buffs go all out for Deion Sanders
What’s your perspective on:
Is Deion Sanders' larger-than-life persona a roadblock to his NFL coaching dreams?
Have an interesting take?
Having known Deion for two years now, the Colorado army by now has known that the Buffs HC has a thing for all things prime. Somehow, Coach Prime too has started to consider them as his extended family. So much so, that they are now fulfilling their favorite HC’s small wishes. Well, turns out that it’s not at all a small wish.
The officials have now gifted a whole personal locker for Deion, just as he had wished for. And what’s so special about the locker that left Coach Prime completely smitten? It has been customized only for him with his signature imprinted on the wall. His quotes like “YOU LOOK GOOD YOU FEEL GOOD YOU FEEL GOOD YOU PLAY GOOD YOU PLAY GOOD THEY PAY GOOD” painted on the wall revved up the look. And here comes the catch. As Rival.com posted the video, the caption said it all, “I think it’s safe to say Coach Prime ain’t leaving Colorado anytime soon 🤣🔥.” Looks like the Buffs got their clarity before coming with the gold-plated move. And who gave them the clarity?

Of course, had to be Deion Sanders himself. Back in June on The Joel Klatt Show, Coach Prime stated, “I am a leader of men, not a follower of men. I lead my sons, I don’t follow my sons. So I plan on being here, and be dominant here because they’re establishing something that we’re going to continue to build on for years to come.” Congratulations Buffs fans, you can finally get your good night’s sleep.
