Deion Sanders has been an ideal dad to his sons during their lengthy Colorado stint. He never lets them have the feel-good vibe for their father running the course, nor does he leave them alone in any difficulties on or off the gridiron. It’s just like striking the perfect balance between being a tough coach and a caring dad at the same time. Not sure if anyone else could do this for Shilo and Shedeur, but Coach Prime has successfully done this.
But guess what? He is not alone in showing up for the kids. His ex-wife, Pilar Sanders, equally does her part in elevating her sons through every thick and thin of their careers.

Shilo Sanders received a huge thumbs up from Mom Sanders amidst NFL draft uncertainty
Shilo Sanders participated in the East-West Shrine Bowl game in Texas on Thursday. He joined his Buffs teammates Cam’Ron Silmon Craig and LaJohntay Wester, Will Sheppard, and Jimmy Horn Jr. for the game. The projected pre-NFL platform comes off a huge opportunity for Shilo to fix his marred stock during the season. He didn’t showcase much hope during the shaky practice, but a mother is a mother.
As Shilo posted some of the clips from his East Shrine Bowl game with a heart full of gratitude, his momma came up in the comments and asked the NFL biggies to ‘league him.’

The Sanders always find a way, and the youngest one is not the exception, as it turns out. Shilo Sanders didn’t have sugar and candy season in his last year at Buffaloes. Most of his tenure in the second year was left shadowed by injuries, penalties, and sacks. Shilo recorded a total of 137 tackles, 10 sacks, and one interception in his two-year tenure at Boulder. The height of criticism has gone so extreme that people even started to question the nepotism behind his reserved spot on the team. His NFL stock suffered as a result, leading to uncertainty about his future plans. It’s kind of an uneven setup to have two brothers on two different ends of a projected draft pick. While Shedeur Sanders is widely considered one of the top picks (possibly No. 2), his brother’s position keeps juggling behind the bar.
However, analysts and scouts praised the former Colorado QB even during the early East Shrine Bowl practice. The Buffaloes safety finished with six tackles and one pass deflection, proving his ability on the field, even though he faced a tough loss for the West team (25-0) to the East. But the internet kept doing what they do best. Highlighting the moments of his struggle, they painted a poor picture. Shilo fired back, but even if he wouldn’t, he had his momma by his side, and that’s more than enough.

Pilar Sanders has been an all-time cheerleader for her son
Despite the loss, Sanders’ performance turned heads. He was placed second on his team in tackles and added a pass breakup. He had been a great addition to the defense and special team as well. We have seen in the clip how Coach Prime adorably escorted his son out of the field. His mama, despite not being present on the field, appreciated the good work through a highly motivating comment. But that’s not it. Even when Shedeur, even before the game started, Pilar Sanders had the same amount of appreciation for her kid.

It’s not always about how good of a player you are; sometimes it’s about how gem of a person you are, and a mother is owed to be proud of both, a little more of the second scenario, to be specific. Pilar noticed a moment from a viral clip from the Shrine Bowl practice where Shilo reached out to the young high school kids and had some moments.
She reposted the clip with the caption, ”Shi Luvs the kids.” It’s overwhelming and relieving to see a highly reciprocal mother-son love even after the couple got separated a while back. ”The only thing bad about like people will saying Coach Prime’s sons, they just leave my mom out, you know? Like my mom’s sitting over here like call them Pilar’s sons sometimes,” Shilo once said, addressing the lopsided coach Prime’s hype in his career.
We will see where and when Shilo will get his new home and challenge to live and nail for the next couple of years.
