Shedeur Sanders is all set to carry on the Sanders family legacy in style! The Buffaloes quarterback is the newest member of the Sanders clan to join the Nike fam.
His dad, Coach Prime, has been partnering with Nike for nearly three decades, releasing sneakers and cleats in collaboration with the brand. His iconic Nike Air Max DT, aka the Diamond Turf, has always been a fan favorite. Now, it looks like Shedeur is about to start his own line!
According to reports from August 28th, Nike has signed Shedeur to a big NIL apparel and footwear deal. While the details aren’t out yet, one thing is clear—he’s definitely making his mom proud! Nike announced the news on their official Instagram with a simple poster of Shedeur flexing his watch, captioning it, “Now it’s a family business.” They didn’t give much more away, but the QB’s mom, Pilar Sanders, quickly showed her excitement in the comments, writing, “❤️👏👏👏YES SON!!! Go #shedeursanders AND #nike ❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥 #legendary.” Looks like Mom is on the hype train for her QB son!

Pilar, who divorced Deion Sanders a decade ago, still shows her love for Shedeur at all the right moments. Just last week, Shedeur teamed up with ‘Beats By Dre’ for their elite headphones ad campaign, posting a clip and writing “Legendary.” Pilar jumped in again, hyping him up with a “YES SON!!” and plenty of hearts and fire emojis.
But it’s not just Mom who’s proud, Dad Deion also gave a shoutout to his son on his IG handle. After all, Shedeur is adding a fresh touch to his decades-long sneaker journey.

Shedeur Sanders adds his chapter to Coach Prime’s story
Shedeur Sanders has always had an eye for a big collab with Nike. Just yesterday on his ‘2Legendary with Shedeur Sanders’ podcast, the QB was asked if he’d prefer to create his own Nike cleat line or build on his dad’s works. And no surprise in his answer! “I would want to build on it… have like a different version,” he said confidently. For Shedeur, it’s like a ‘generational thing,’ and he’s all in to carry it forward.

However, he’s not just blindly following his dad’s work as such—he wants to add his own touch to make it feel like a fresh take on Coach Prime’s line. “I feel like when it comes to design and anything like that, it always has to have a great story behind it,” he added. Now, with his new deal with Nike, it’s time to see what story Shedeur will bring to the table.
Meanwhile, his dad, Deion Sanders, is also set to launch new sneakers this September in the Colorado Buffaloes‘ iconic colors. Priced at $170 each, there will be three models: black and gold, white and black, and white and gold. Around the same time, the Buffs will face off against teams like North Dakota and Nebraska. It looks like the September calendar will be an intense one for the Sanders family!
