Is Shedeur Sanders finally stepping out of Coach Prime's shadow and making a name for himself?

You know, it takes a lot to break out of the family mold and build your bridge to success. So you gotta give Shelomi Sanders props for deciding to leave the Buffs and pursue her basketball goals with Alabama A&M. While Deion Sanders was pissed regarding the entire decision and called it “stupid”, there is one person who never left Shelomi’s side. Pilar Sanders came in to rescue her daughter and supported her transfer decision with all her heart. Since then, we have seen Pilar regularly share the progress Shelomi is making, and this time around, we have got some more updates.

On September 2nd, Pilar took to her YouTube channel to post an update regarding Shelomi. “Shelomi is doing great in Huntsville. She’s so happy. She just got a black cat named Blayze,” Pilar mentioned. After moving to Alabama, Shelomi has decided most of her time to practice and get better for the team. She has shown great potential, and that is something even A&M basketball coach Dawn Thornton has noted. “Shelomi is just what we need on ‘The Hill’,” Dawn had mentioned during an interview. Another thing that Pilar pointed out is that Shelomi recently had surgery on her foot and she has been recovering really well. “She’s working out, she’s training, she just had surgery on her foot, so she recovered well,” Pilar pointed out. Another big thing that has been waiting for the young star is the Media Days.

Pilar mentioned that Shelomi will be having her Media Days pretty soon back in California. While we have yet to see Deion Sanders fully support his kid, Pilar will always be there as the main support of whatever Shelomi decides to do. You know what they say, right? A mother’s love will always stay. And it ain’t only Shelomi who is getting VVIP treatment with home-cooked meals by Pilar, Shedeur Sanders also managed to get some popcorn for himself.

While it wasn’t sure if Pilar would attend the CU season opener, one call from Shedeur managed to change her mind. In the same video on her YouTube channel, Pilar explains how Shedeur had called her that morning asking for some popcorn. “And I talked to Shedeur, and he has some of his friends, you know, doing some things for him and he wants popcorn,” Pilar noted. Now homemade popcorn is something Pilar specializes in.

Now you might wonder how hard can it be to just make some packaged popcorn. Well, that’s not the case here cause Pilar likes to keep it organic. “We don’t do microwave popcorn at all,” Pilar mentioned. She uses coconut oil and other unrefined organic stuff to make her popcorn and Shedeur loves those. So, that’s how she ended up watching the Buffs opener and cheering for her sons from the stands. The Best Mom Of The Year award definitely goes to her.
