On August 9, the entire Sanders’ household was filled with joy. Why, you might ask? That’s because Deiondra Sanders had given birth to her baby boy. See, no matter how much praise we sing of Deiondra and her bravery, it just doesn’t feel enough. This woman went against all odds and managed to conceive a beautiful son. Doctors told Deiondra that with fibroids, things wouldn’t be easy, but she never gave up. Now we finally know where all that courage comes from.

On October 1st, Deiondra’s mother, Carolyn Chambers, took to her Instagram story to share a small note that Deiondra had written about her mother back in 2004. “I cherish this forever from my daughter,” Carolyn wrote in her story. The small note has a beautiful analogy of “sacrifices beyond diamond rings.” The note further read, “She has accomplish everything she wanted to…The hard time those made her feel like quitting…. she said “No, I won’t stop for anything, not even all the diamond rings”…This outstanding woman is the best and is my mommy.”

A few moments later, Deiondra even shared her mother’s story regarding the note with the caption, “Aw you still have this.”

Even after parting ways with Deion Sanders way back in 1998, Carolyn stuck around for her daughter and made sure she had the most amazing upbringing. Having an MBA from HBCU and working as a successful real estate broker and tax specialist, Carolyn has managed to shape her career quite nicely. It’s kind of funny how similar Deiondra and Carolyn are. Despite being told that they cannot accomplish something, they still manage to get that done.

Take Carolyn’s graduation, for example. Back in May, Carolyn graduated from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. She got this done when she was 58 years old. Imagine that. Deiondra even took to her Instagram to share a note and photo with her mother, congratulating her. “My beautiful Mommy graduated today!” Deiondra wrote in the caption of her post.

The parallels over here are so visible. Deiondra’s pregnancy journey and engagement and Carolyn’s strive to complete her graduation. Deion Sanders is truly a lucky man. To be surrounded by women of this magnitude is quite the feeling. Another point we would like to point out is the fact that Carolyn was probably the strongest backbone for Deiondra during the entire pregnancy.

Always here for her daughter

Carolyn did not waste a second to embrace her role as a soon-to-be grandmother when she found out about Deiondra’s pregnancy. When Deiondra went for her ultrasound, Carolyn was there for her. The young mother took to her IG to share a picture of her and Carolyn with the caption, “Big Mama.”

And how can we forget about the baby shower? The day turned into an engagement party as well. Behind most of the planning was Carolyn. Deiondra had mentioned that Carolyn planned a “Grandma shower” for Deiondra and her baby.

Also back on September 4 when Deiondra took to her Instagram to post regarding her journey of accepting her body and feeling beautiful again after she became a mother, Carolyn was quick to take to her comment section to write, “You are beautiful and fine!!!” We cannot wait to see what these amazing women achieve next in their lives.
