Shelomi Sanders is making headlines with her debut performance against Oakwood. Talking about her experience living with type 1 diabetes, Shelomi stated, “Yes, so I’m a type 1 diabetic. That means my pancreas doesn’t produce insulin, so I have to give it to myself. Also, it’s my level. They go up, they go down. It’s just a whole window of things.” We can imagine the daily challenges she might be facing with the condition.

Shelomi has made a big move by joining A&M. Although Coach Prime wasn’t happy with her decision to enter the transfer portal and called it stupid. Her mother, Pilar, stood by her in the difficult time. Shelomi is seen as confident and bold in her demeanor. After all leaving a College where your dad also runs a program, to move to a different one, especially when Deion Sanders is your dad is not easy!
She further highlighted the importance of her continuous glucose monitor (CGM), specifically the Dexcom system: “So Dexcom is CGM, and it helps me calculate. It helps me look at my levels.
