The removal of TikTok and everyone’s worry are more akin to the movie The Social Network than a lawsuit. Due to a law that Congress approved last year, TikTok’s 170 million users in the US might receive a significant wake-up call this Sunday. And that becomes true. Just like that, creators like Shelomi, Coach Prime’s daughter, may lose her 80K fan following. But she confronts reality and accepts the TikTok ban. Then why does she seems so upset?

In today’s game, the women’s basketball team from Alabama State lost against Alabama A&M at the AMMU Events Center, 54-47. However, the Hornets (4-13, 2-3) were led by Kaitlyn Bryant, who scored 11 points. Alabama State’s Taylor Smith contributed three points and eight rebounds, and Cordasia Harris supplied seven points. With 17 points, senior guard Lauryn Pendleton lead the field, followed by Kalia Walker, who scored 13 points and made a perfect six-for-six from the free-throw line. This victory over their in-state conference rivals was Alabama A&M’s third straight. But Shelomi didn’t make a point today.

Despite not scoring any points in this specific game, Shelomi had demonstrated promise in other outings. Interestingly, earlier this season she scored a career-high six points in a game against Huntsville. Moreover, she is scoring 1.5 points per game on average for the 2024–25 campaign. And following that, her father, Coach Prime’s 6-word affirmation, seems reasonable. Coach Prime posted a pic on his IG story of him comforting his daughter after the game. And he wrote, “I’m so proud of my Babygirl! @shelomisanders.

It just shows that, as a parent of an athlete, he encourages his daughter since he understands that one play cannot make all the difference. But how Shelomi gives in to reality with the TikTok ban remains a mystery.

What’s Shelomi Sanders saying about the TikTok ban?

Shelomi’s response to TikTok’s voluntary suspension of its users on Sunday’s ban was quite phenomenal. When Shelomi opened the app, she saw the same headline as other users: “Sorry, TikTok isn’t available right now.

A law banning TikTok has been enacted in the U.S. Unfortunately, that means you can’t use TikTok for now. We are fortunate that President Trump has indicated that he will work with us on a solution to reinstate TikTok once he takes office. Please stay tuned!” the message says. And she shared this on her IG story. It merely shows that she is conscious of the current affairs.

But, you know, she’s Pilar’s daughter– a little upset is normal. As the TikTok memory lane of Shelomi and Pilar Sanders is more than just the highlights, it had their dance videos, family moments, and so on. In the past, Pilar and Bossy’s feeds were dominated by dance videos, family moments, and humorous banter. Pilar posted a cute photo of herself and Shelomi in “Life as a T1D Mom: The Beeping Hunt,” which well captured the mother-daughter bond.

Hope this reality will pass with time and that the A&M basketball player will succeed in the field with Coach Prime’s encouragement.
