Today, Yahoo Sports shared Buffs head coach Deion Sanders’ funny take on next week’s opponents, Texas Tech, and their game-day tradition. “Coach Prime is questioning the legality of Texas Tech’s tortillas 😭” they posted. Known for stirring up playful controversies, especially with opposing teams, Coach Prime commented on the tradition by saying, “I hear they throw tacos? Fajitas?” When someone clarified it was tortillas, he laughed and said, “I said everything but the right thing” and added, “Is that legal to do?” However, it was all on a lighter note. Sanders even joked and said, “We are going to try and make empty those things.” It looks like Prime Time, and the team is preparing for the tortillas. 

Well, throwing tortillas during their game has been a longtime tradition for the fans of Texas Tech. There are various reasons behind such a weird act; one of them was their rivalry game against the Aggies in 1922. Ahead of the game, an ESPN announcer said that Lubbock has nothing but the Texas Tech team and tortilla factory. After this statement, fans brought tortillas and started tossing them on the field. Even then, it seems like a very fun kind of tradition.
