Is CJ Carr the future of Notre Dame football, or just another overhyped college QB?

Just beat yourself every day. Do what you didn’t do yesterday and work harder than you did yesterday,” said Notre Dame‘s quarterback, who committed to the program last year. We are talking about CJ Carr, who comes from a legendary family and has seen an era of football. Carr’s grandfather was a famous Michigan coach, Lyod Carr, who coached Michigan from 1995 to 2007 and made a 122–40 record. Additionally, CJ’s dad, Jason Carr, played quarterback for Michigan during the 1990s and passed the torch to CJ.

That’s why when Carr chose Notre Dame over Alabama, Georgia, LSU, and Michigan, his fans were a little upset because he did not go to Michigan, where his dad and granddad had a history, and also because it’s barely five miles from his home. However, when he broke this news to his family, including his grandfather, they were happy and proud of CJ’s choice. Apart from that, CJ’s family runs a foundation to help children with cancer. In the same way, CJ also signed a deal with a foundation that helps cancer patients. To learn more about his deal and NIL valuation, let’s discuss it.

In March 2024, CJ announced a deal with Napleton’s countryside Mazda in rural Illinois. The deal includes the promotion of the company’s vehicles, including the 2024 Mazda CX-50, which he received from the company as part of the deal. The Violet Foundation shares the same goal as our family’s foundation—to save the lives of children diagnosed with DIPG. Note that Carr shares a sensitive bond with the foundation cause he lost his little brother Chad eight years ago, battling brain cancer. In honor of his memory, his family launched the Chad Foundation; similarly, the founder of the Violet Foundation also lost his daughter, Violet, to cancer in 2022. Apart from the NIL deals and his personal life, let’s look at Carr’s life on the field, starting from his high school career.
