Who would have imagined that one day the head coach of the Oregon Ducks, Dan Lanning, would get compared to the head coach of the NFL’s Detroit Lions, Dan Campbell? And why shouldn’t he be? Under Lanning’s guidance, the team is currently standing at the top of the playoff projection, with a remarkable ten consecutive wins this season. He changed the fate of the program, which is not only giving them endless recognition but also increasing Lanning’s NFL hype. However, just as everything seemed to be falling into place, a new source of stress emerged right before their game against Wisconsin this week.
Today, on a recent episode of the Josh Pate College Football show, Josh highlighted a much less-known fact about the Oregon Ducks game schedule, saying, “I do too, but I have a little concern for a team playing their eighth consecutive game, flying across two time zones for the third time in the last few weeks, against a rested Wisconsin team whose preseason goals are sort of out the window. They do have a very late bye week. The trade-off is they’ve got to play eight games in a row to get there.” Well, that’s a fair point; the team will be facing Wisconsin without a single bye week in 8 consecutive games, plus traveling across 2 time zones in that duration will only give them fatigue.
Moreover, it’s all coming at the time when Dan Lanning is having his big NFL recognition moment going on, attracting huge buzz with his exceptional coaching style. The team is in prime time of their game, and even Lanning is in a better place right now, so the question is, will not be getting a bye week hamper on their mission?

Well, ideally we expect any great team to slip up once in a while during a long college football season, and it’s not like the Oregon Ducks will not put in their complete effort for their game against Wisconsin, but then can we blame them if they finally get themselves drained out after going all monstrous for the last consecutive runs? Will know it this week. But for now, let’s know about the possible teams that might be interested in getting Dan Lanning into their team.
Dan Lanning possible NFL teams
This year Dan Lanning’s Oregon Ducks is taking the entire college football season by storm. Not only does the team remain one of the few unbeatable teams in the nation, but they are also coming off as one of the strongest teams of the tournament. Which is more than enough for their head coach to turn the heads of NFL dignitaries. Moreover, there are also rumors spreading that Oregon’s coach might leave the team to join the NFL if something of his desire comes his way. Well, on that note, there are some of the possible pro league teams that might approach Dan Lanning moving forward.
The first one among them is the New York Jets, who are miserable falling this year with their poor performance. The team is currently standing at a 3-7 streak, and the worst part is their head coach, Robert Saleh, got first just within 5 weeks the season started. They are desperately looking for a coach who might bring change to their gameplay, and Dan Lanning would be a perfect fit for them. Apart from the Jets, even the Jacksonville Jaguars might approach Lanning as the team is standing at a 2-8 streak and they are not even near the playoffs. So, if their head coach Doug Pederson also leaves the program, Dan Lanning might turn things around for them just like he did for the Ducks.
