Poor Shedeur Sanders! Every other day he finds himself in the hot seat. The Colorado Buffaloes QB has already been trolled enough after his disastrous performance against Dylan Raiola and his tribe. And as expected, it did cause a ripple effect in the scout report as well.

The QB has faced back-to-back snubs in the mock drafts, despite solid scout reports. However, not everyone has turned their back on him. THE ODD COUPLE came forward with their take on the messy situation that Shedeur has landed in.

Getting five sacks is not something that could be taken lightly. With this, Shedeur lands in a great soup. As we all know, the 2024 season marks the last chapter in the Buffs QB’s college football career, the grand finale has to be a blockbuster. But when it’s Shedeur, things have to get extra tough. Now that the scouts’ reports are already here, the results do not seem anything that the QB could feel proud of. One of the NFL scouts wrote, “I’m honestly not convinced he’s a first-rounder.” This was then taken up by Chris Broussard and Rob Parker on the Fox Sports Radio podcast. And Parker had to take a stand witnessing Shedeur’s report hitting a nosedive. “It shouldn’t be personal it should be about the talent and whether or not you’re you’re you don’t have to like the guy,” claimed the co-host.

And what does he try to hint at with the word “character?” After the mishap against the Cornhuskers, Shedeur refused to take accountability and instead put the blame on the O-line for failing to give him the needed protection. This is something Broussard brought to attention as he stated, “I do, Rob. Character does matter and I agree with you that everybody’s not going to be the choir boy…but I’m just saying a quarterback is a little different…you’re the leader of the team.” Shedeur’s future just got a big nope from the mock drafts as well!

Top 10 QBs named but Shedeur Sanders misses the cut

One mock draft was enough to question Shedeur’s future. All thanks to CBS Sports analyst Chris Trapasso who dropped his mock draft on September 13. The list is quite elaborate but not something that would excite the Buffs fans. In the top 10 list for QB picks, the three QBs who are predicted to land early in the NFL are Carson Beck, Cam Ward, and Miller Moss.

While the Buffs fans thought that they would surely find Shedeur if they scouted through the lower ranks, their bubbles just got popped. While top-5 picks might have missed mentioning the QB, even the later spots were assigned to Jaxson Dart as the 14th overall pick while Garrett Nussmeier held the 16th spot. However, this disaster is something that the Buffs already had a premonition.

Much before the CBS Sports mock draft, PFF College Football had already stirred the internet with their version as released on September 6. There too, even though the Buffs dual-threat Travis Hunter received his due credit earning the No.4 spots, Shedeur Sanders’ name was struck off the list. Now, he’s got to turn these upcoming games into a one-man show or risk becoming a footnote in scout history!
