Coach Prime’s team dominated the UCF Knights last Saturday and proved their doubters wrong. After their defeat in the second week over Nebraska, many people believed they wouldn’t come on top this season and continue their losing streak like 2023. However, Sanders and his staff have new plans this year. Prime Time is always in the headlines. After their thrilling victory over UCF, they became the first team to defeat the Knights in 2024. Since then, the head coach has been on duty, attending interviews and continuing to draw attention, which is his unique selling point. Deion Sanders has been a frequent guest on Shannon Sharpe and Chad ‘Ocho’ Johnson’s YouTube show, Nightcap.
The trio, in Sanders’, latest trip to the show, discussed a host of issues. Ocho and ‘Prime Time’ talked about the Buffs’ two-way star, Travis Hunter and how the former will coach him. “The kind of teacher I am… I’ll come out there, route Travis up, and then I’ll lock him up,” Ocho said. Deion Sanders, the coach himself, reminded Ocho that the situation might not work in his favor, especially if ‘Prime Time’ himself gets on the field. “What if I get mad that you routed Travis up, and I put my cleats on?” Ocho, the master of trash-talking when he was an NFL player, didn’t back down, reminding Coach Sanders, “You can’t do anything with 8 toes.”

The ‘8 toes’ part of Ocho’s reply was a reference to Sanders’ amputated toes, poking the latter’s health in a lighthearted way. Sanders laughed his heart out but turned his camera off after Chad’s comment. Such is the relationship between the two; it’s always jokes. It’s even better then they join in to make fun of Shannon Sharpe.
Deion Sanders has undergone 12 surgeries in the past one to two years, which are to treat blood clots in his legs, which have been causing him pain for a long time. ‘Prime Time’ had to amputate two of his toes in 2022. However, 57-year-old HC is still healthy and fit.

Buffs fans are still celebrating Colorado’s victory in week 5, as now they are one step closer to the national championship. Amid the excitement, Sanders made an announcement on Saturday that Trevor Woods and Jeremiah Brown won’t play the rest of the season.
What’s your perspective on:
Did Chad Johnson cross the line by attacking Deion Sanders over his health scare?
Have an interesting take?
Woods and Brown played starting four games for the Buffs this year but didn’t appear in the week 5 showdown against UCF. Considering the NCAA rules and regulations, the decision was made to reserve a year of eligibility.
Woods is a great athlete who has been part of the Buffs since 2021. Initially, he played as a safety and switched to linebacker last season. In 2023, he had recorded 56 total tackles and two interceptions. The young talent will finish this year with 14 total tackles, including one tackle for loss.

Coming to linebacker Brown, he shared a deep connection with Sanders and played the first two years under Prime Time at Jackson State before he joined the Buffs. Last season he made 11 total tackles and six this season so far.
The Buffs will enjoy a much-deserved bye-week before facing No. 20 Kansas State in Week 7.
