Dominoes are falling left and right in the recruiting field. Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes are already on cloud nine now that their Mission JuJu finally got success. But again, Lincoln Riley had to bear the blows since Julian Lewis flipped from the USC Trojans. The same goes for the No.1 recruit Bryce Underwood who had given his words to Brian Kelly’s LSU Tigers. However, the young chap has now decided to go with Sherrone Moore and Michigan Wolverines. Amidst these flips and flops, Oregon Ducks HC seemed to be the lucky one as 5-star elite prospect, Dakorien Moore has made up his mind to don the green and yellow colors. Even fans too have been taken by disbelief.

Dan Lanning is still not over the trauma of losing their four-star commitment, Alai Kalaniuvalu. Well, it has been indeed a costly loss for the Ducks since he has been a top commit for the 2025 recruiting class. But poor Lanning! He failed to stop the four-star offensive lineman from flipping to BYU. However, it’s high time that the Ducks HC realizes that not everyone is like Kalaniuvalu. There are some like Dakorien Moore as well. The Five-Star Plus+ wide receiver told Hayes Fawcett from On3, “Oregon family, let’s build something special! Recruitment officially closed.”

Yes, that’s how he has closed his doors to other programs. Reports say December 4 marks the big day as Dakorien Moore will be signing with Lanning’s team on that particular day. Looks like the 5-foot-11, 186-pounder is a man of his word. After all, he had committed to the Ducks back on July 4. Even though he paid a visit to LSU Tigers this fall, it could not inch him even a bit. That’s how strong his commitment is!

Well, it’s clear how Lanning acts like a magnet in attracting Dakorien Moore. Back in May, he confessed, “Coach Lanning knows how to judge people, and he is a good judge of character. And he’s really good at building relationships and getting people to trust him. I feel like that reels the great players in.” Six months down the line, he still feels the same. Thus the fans are going gaga for Dakorien Moore who in a sea of commitment flips, stands tall, holding firm to his pledge.

Social media erupts as Dakorien Moore’s commitment defies the de-commitment trend

The stars were perfectly aligned for a Dakorien Moore x LSU collaboration. After all, the Tigers now have a space to fill after Underwood thought of giving the Wolverines a chance. That’s what made a fan surprised as he commented, “bro is not gonna go to lsu after seeing bryce underwood commit to michigan 😭.” With programs like Ryan Day’s Ohio State Buckeyes and in-state Texas already rooting for the player, it was obvious for fans to be super sure about Dakorien Moore making some last-minute swaps. Thus a disappointed fan commented, “Thought he flipped bruh 😭.”

Dakorien Moore's loyalty to Oregon—Is he setting a new trend against the decommitment wave?

Have an interesting take?

Just like Lanning was able to pull the athlete in, having paired with Alabama commit Keelon Russell back at high school, he might influence other commits to choose Oregon, “Big dawgs gonna flip to Oregon seeing this.” A fan still does not think the player’s commitment is final after what Underwood tried to do with his words and ultimately landed in a completely different program, “They always say this ! Bryce underwood told lsu this a couple days ago lol ! He coming to bama with his quarterback.”
