Will Kalen DeBoer prove his doubters wrong, or is he in over his head at Alabama?

This season, Alabama Crimson Tide’s head coach, Kalen DeBoer, is often in the headlines. After Nick Saban announced his retirement, Crimson Tide’s fans and players were disheartened. DeBoer was announced as the new head coach, and many fans, analysts, and Crimson Tide’s well-wishers were not happy; many of them doubted his potential and leadership qualities. DeBoer’s impressive contract—reportedly worth $87 million over eight years—positions him among the highest-paid coaches in the sport. However, given his impressive resume, he is getting attention from the NFL.

Message Board Geniuses tweeted that the Las Vegas Raiders are preparing to extend a substantial offer to Kalen DeBoer, the head coach of Alabama. “Industry sources tell MBG that the Las Vegas Raiders are prepared to offer #Alabama head coach, Kalen DeBoer, a large amount of money.” While this news has generated excitement, it should be approached with caution as it remains a rumor at this stage. So far, neither Kalen DeBoer nor the NFL team has made an official statement.

For now. DeBoer is with the Crimson Tide. According to the Bleacher report, in the first year of his contract with the Tide, DeBoer will earn $10 million, with his salary increasing by $250,000 each subsequent year, reaching $11.75 million in the final year of the agreement, which runs through December 31, 2033. Additionally, the 49-year-old coach’s contract includes significant performance incentives: a $600,000 bonus for participating in a College Football National Championship game and an $875,000 bonus for winning the title.

Similarly, according to ESPN’s Chris Low, Kalen DeBoer’s contract includes a 90% guarantee if he is fired without cause, and there is no requirement for mitigation. His annual salary of $10.9 million places him fourth among all college football head coaches, according to Chris Low. Last year, when DeBoer was with Washington, he earned $4.2 million as the HC. Under his guidance, the Huskies played the national championship game but unfortunately lost to the Michigan Wolverines. This year, Crimson Tide’s fans and the entire team must be expecting the same from him.

Alabama Crimson Tide won against their big competition, the Georgia Bulldogs, last week. It was one of the highly anticipated games. Let’s get to know why quarterback Jalen Milroe and the offense chose to maintain their aggressive pace instead of trying to run down the clock.

On Wednesday, DeBoer was part of the “Hey Coach” show, where he shared, “To me, it was about scoring. To me, it was about making sure we were running the right plays,” DeBoer added. “I don’t feel that we were pushing fast, but there were also times we wanted to get lined up to see what the defense was going to show us.” Kalen also pointed out that when only five minutes were remaining, Kirby Smart’s squad had both the two-minute warning and three timeouts available to them.

In football, touchdowns are crucial scoring plays that can significantly impact the outcome of a game. Regarding that, Kalen added, “I mean, you’re having to put probably five first downs and six first downs together, which means you got to score a touchdown for the most part.”

Carson Beck was all over the media after Georgia’s defeat. This time not for his impressive performance but for his two interceptions and poor mindset in the biggest showdown. However, he scored three touchdowns that night. Alabama allowed a 67-yard touchdown pass from Georgia quarterback Carson Beck to Dillon Bell, narrowing the score late in the game. However, the Crimson Tide quickly responded with a 75-yard touchdown pass from Jalen Milroe to Ryan Williams.

Right now, Crimson Tide is playing their fifth game of the season against Vanderbilt. Commodores who lost their 2 games are thinking of bounceback. In fact, they have got the start they needed. After the first quarter, the Commodores are surprisingly leading by 13-7! Who would’ve guessed that?
