“But the one thing they love more than a hero, is to see a hero fail, fall, die trying.” The Carson Beck situation is actually insane. Not too long ago, Mr. Beck was regarded as “the next big thing” in the NFL. With that somewhat lukewarm season with the Dawgs, those expectations went straight out the window. Still, there was hope. If not, the No.1 pick, Carson Beck still was in the top 5 for the drafts. But god forbid Georgia gets anything good. Cause in that one game against Texas, while Kirby Smart pulled the conference cup, Beck had to hoist the white flag because of a UCL…
… Now this creates a tricky situation. Ever wondered why most senior players skip Bowl games? Yeah, one single injury and your projected No.1 pick goes right down the gutter. Georgia not only lost their playoff run but Beck was now hurt and in a bad spot with his draft stocks. So, he chose the “safe” way out. Pick that deal with Miami, and now he is gonna stay back at CFB for another year to build up the stock. But people did not like that.
“I refuse to run, I refuse to hide, and I for sure refuse to put up with the narratives fabricated about the people I love… Social media will be a place to spread his light not tear others down for their decisions. Let people be happy,” Kylie Beck wrote on her IG story, hoisting her flag of support for Carson.

We do understand why some people were disappointed with Beck’s choice. He decided to switch teams after all, right? But don’t you think this choice makes much more sense than going what, like, the 13th overall pick in the NFL? Even Mel Kiper has been chirping on about Beck’s playing a few more college games. “I think, you know, to me, you know, I think it’s important that these guys and I think they should go back,” Kiper had pointed out.
It’s not just because the season was a stinker. Even without the injury, Beck should definitely use another year to play at the college level. Making the Jalen Milroe mistake and running to the league is pretty much axing your leg. Go in there. Fix those turnover issues, score some massive TDs, and come out flying as a No.1 pick!!
“I think it’s a good decision for him to be able to stay another year and build on his college career a little bit,” Former Aggies QB Johnny Manziel pointed out. Another year is going to do god’s work for Beck’s draft. And who knows, maybe Miami finally gets a winning chance against good teams? Although the funniest part about Beck’s deal is the fact that he is on the level of some other NFL players, salary-wise.

Beck’s big cheques
$4 million added to the already big fund. All of this pretty much takes Carson’s overall payout to upwards of $10 million, and for a college athlete? That is some big money. In a fair comparison, this guy is making more than what Bo Nix got with his contract at the Broncos!!
Yeah, let that sink in – Nix got handed a $18 million contract, being the 12th pick for the Broncos. In 2024, his payout would be $3.3 million, and in 2025, that cap will increase to $4.2 million. Beck is already getting a $4 million deal for his run with the Canes.
