Carson Beck is someone who, at Georgia, was nothing less than a beast. He played for the Bulldogs for 4 seasons and produced moments unreplicable. Of course, we can argue that the 2024 season saw both the best and the worst of the Bulldogs’ QB1. However, in hindsight, we may have put a lot more blame on Beck than he probably deserved. Even when Gunner Stockton replaced him after he got injured, Georgia’s WRs couldn’t catch a pass. That’s what ailed Carson throughout the season. There were interceptions, yes! But as the Bulldogs got thrashed by the Fighting Irish, if you were a Georgia fan, you would have at least thought for a second that Carson would have fared better than Gunner. All that is history now. So is Beck’s time with Kirby Smart’s team.

Just when Georgia’s beloved QB was slated for the NFL draft, things took a U-turn, and Beck ended up in Miami instead. Georgia supporters were baffled. Beck could have achieved everything that Miami Hurricanes promises at Georgia, too. But it’s the NIL era, and anything is possible. So, Beck now joins Miami to maybe achieve even more glory with a bigger pay bump. That’s icing on the cake, right? But, even in Miami, there’s one supporter who is constant in giving him motivation.

And that’s his sister, Kylie Beck. She reposted a video on her story that was posted by the Hurricanes’ official account on Instagram. Where all the players were asked, ‘What’s your favorite thing about playing football?’. The response that Carson Beck gave just shows his mentality toward the game. It shows why he is still one of the best QBs in college football.

Other Miami players gave answers to the question in quite a similar fashion. One player said “competing,” and others said “competing at the highest level.” The rest said, “Legal violence.” Humorously saying what an extreme physical sport football actually is. But Beck’s answer stood out the most when he said with a straight face, “Winning.” A simple one-word answer yet speaking about the heights at which the player has reached. His sister reposted his answer and wrote on her Instagram Story, “Period.” Indicating the level at which Carson Beck is playing and also saying that she supports him fully…

His 19-year-old sister is notably still at the University of Georgia. A sophomore right now, she is on the cheerleading team of UGA, where she cheers for their basketball and football teams. She regularly posts her videos on her TikTok. During Beck’s time at the Bulldogs, we regularly saw Kylie on the sidelines.

Carson Beck, one of the most storied Bulldogs

Carson Beck featured in most of the games at Georgia in the 2024 season until he couldn’t play late in the season due to injury. And, certainly, Georgia missed him a lot in those games. They lost their quarterfinal playoff game against Notre Dame in his absence. But he did win the SEC with the team after defeating the Texas Longhorns by 22-19 in overtime. Moreover, that feat has created some historic moments for Beck too.

What’s your perspective on:

Did Georgia fans underestimate Carson Beck's potential, or was Miami the right move for his career?

Have an interesting take?

Carson Beck finished his Georgia stint with 7,912 yards, becoming the sixth-highest passer in the school’s storied history. He is currently only behind the likes of Stetson Bennett, David Greene, and Eric Zeier. But the most storied moment in his career is his pass completion rate (68%). That is the highest in the school’s history. Clearly, Beck has given a lot to Georgia, and Georgia has also reciprocated by giving him glory by winning SEC championships in 2023 and 2024 and giving him 2 natty trophies in 2021 and 2022 when he was playing as a backup. Clearly, he feels there’s one championship more to win as a starting QB at Miami, and if all goes as planned, maybe he will be lifting another national trophy for the Canes.
