Travis Hunter, the sensation of the Colorado Buffaloes, kicked off the season on a tear. Since he followed Coach Prime to the Buffs’ locker room, the lad kept proving Deion Sanders’ decision wasn’t just an act of favor. Whenever the two-way star gets a grip on the football, the gallery sits back and watches him become an unstoppable breed in his own right. The prodigy literally transcends all the traditional sports boundaries inside the Grindon.

The ability to take the game to his hold from multiple positions made Hunter a trailblazer in the modern era of football. But did you ever indulge in a wild thought of Travis fighting off his fatherly figure in Coach Sanders? If the answer is yes, the veteran architect of the Colorado Buffaloes came clean on this in a recent media chat.

Deion Sanders buried the idea of an on-field rivalry with Travis Hunter

In an interactive sit down with the Big Noon kickoff, the host plotted a scenario tipping Sanders and Hunter in an opposing team and asked Coach Prime for his approval. In a blink of an eye, he declined it. ”That’s just like putting me against one of my kids. You can’t put the father against the son. You can’t do that. Don’t do that. I love it, you know what? We text each other the first day whoever wakes up first on game day, it is hilarious when we text each other and I beat him up this morning, so I am like let’s go boy let’s go,” said Sanders, putting their adorable father -son dynamic on the show.

Where the hypothetical narrative reached the point of making the football phenom play, on the field, in reality, his tenure as a coach of the Buffs has been hanging in the air for a while. Since he has filled in the least sought-after vacancies in the Power Five conferences, it seems to be a major question whether he chooses to carry the ladder forward with the Buffs or heads elsewhere following an early success.

Although the 56-year-old silenced the debate to a certain extent with a subtle answer that implies he will more than comfortably stay anywhere up to 5-10 years, the doubt lingers. Blame it on the volatile college football reality. But since fantasy knows no bounds, the question made sense.

Although Sanders straight away rejected fighting his dearest student on the field, he has been the biggest critic of Hunter, regardless.

Deion Sanders put a blow into Travis Hunter’s over-confidence, only to bring out the best

Deion certainly has a sweet-salty bond with Travis Hunter, but he is far from being a sweet talker to him, to say the least. “I’m a father, not a baby daddy. I lead my sons, I don’t follow my sons.”: his ideology of an ideal fatherhood sounds like this and he follows the same with Hunter. You will get to understand how right he is in his paternal coach approach, only if you are aware of his recent piece of advice to the standout wide receiver and high-ceiling cornerback, Travis Hunter.

Despite being superhuman in the NDSU game and the Rocky Mountain showdown, the Travis magic was somehow running on a relative dip against the Huskers. But quickly gained the mojo back in the next game against the Rams as coach Prime told him to be a little more attentive to his technique. The critical push led him to catch an interception in a historic performance. The way he returned the pass from Braydoen Fowler Nicolosi was nothing short of a pure artwork.

The rest of the Hunter art we will hopefully see at the next games of the season, knowing that the real activator was a meticulous coach and a loving father figure.
