“If you don’t draft me, that’s your fault.” That was the warning from the former Miami Hurricanes quarterback, Cam Ward, for those who will think of passing on him in the NFL Draft. Already, the QB was at an advantage when it came to his competition with Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders. The big reason? Ward has given his heart and soul to the sport. So, it was obvious when it’s the No.1 pick, it’s Ward or no one. Going by Brian Callahan and the Tennessee Titans’ latest move, they have already set out the red carpet for the Miami quarterback. Meanwhile, as he enjoyed his own sweet time, sweetheart Nailah Landon could not stop flexing her beau and his weightage in the NFL landscape.

Well, Ward’s NFL flight has always been a hot topic for discussion. The way his career is running on fifth gear, his personal life too has hit turbo mode. The 22-year-old is madly in love with Landon. Born in Chicago, she attended IC Catholic Prep for high school. Lucky Ward! His ladylove, too, is an athlete who has excelled in three sports: volleyball, basketball, and track & field. However, finally, Landon thought of focusing on volleyball. And not for a day did she regret it. Ward’s girlfriend began her volleyball journey at Barry University, where she played 44 sets in her freshman year, recording 31 kills and 39 block assists. Being an athlete herself, she knows what’s going through her boyfriend.

Finally, Ward’s dream is about to come true. The Titans hold the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, and for once, there’s no smoke, no mystery, and no last-minute “trade-up” drama. The pick is all locked with the ex-Miami QB. Now that Ward has already gotten some hints, he is already in the party mood. But no clubbing and loud music. Rather, the QB thought of spending some quality time. On April 5, he posted a series of pictures on Instagram. The first one is the picture of the Central Parkway YMCA in Cincinnati. The next picture showed Ward catching some fish by the lake. Amidst this, he and his sweetheart posed for a mirror selfie on a car window. Followed by a hotel breakfast table view and Ward chilling in a yacht. As comments started to pour in, Landon’s comment stood out.

The proud girlfriend dropped, “FIRST.” It might have a couple of meanings. The first person in her life as well as how Ward will be the first person that the NFL giant with the No.1 pick will count on. Finally, Callahan’s latest sly moves are rising to clear light.

Titans’ quiet snub heard loud in Cam Ward’s favor

Just as Ward picked up the NFL hype, for Shedeur, the road has been rocky, but he still managed to turn some focus on his way. That’s when, holding the top pick, Tennessee was slated to host a private workout with presumptive top-10 prospect Shedeur for April 9. After Colorado’s pro day, at which all 32 NFL teams were represented, Deion Sanders’ son and Callahan’s program mutually agreed to cancel their previously scheduled private workout.

However, the Titans already conducted a private session with Miami quarterback Ward. In that case, they had to stop things from becoming too obvious that they openly leaned towards Ward. For that, the Titans claimed, following a strong showing in Boulder, the team felt confident enough in Sanders’ performance that no private workout was necessary. Well, now you can connect the dots.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Cam Ward the future of the Titans, or is Shedeur Sanders the one that got away?

Have an interesting take?

After the Shedeur Sanders’ snub, they refused to be a part of Travis Hunter’s private workout too. So now what’s the latest intel? On April 5, NFL Draft analyst Todd McShay dished out his analysis. “So the @Titans have respectfully cancelled private workouts with Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders, making it all but official they will take Cam Ward No. 1. And now I’m starting to hear more and more about Hunter to Cleveland at No. 2. That would mean Abdul Carter vs. Shedeur for the Giants at No. 3. ***Not a difficult decision IMO.” With Ward potentially on his way to the Music City, Titans fans can start imagining a new-look offense built around a quarterback with a rocket arm and great pocket presence. It’s now a wait of just 18 days.
