Okay, so we gotta walk about Michigan Wolverines again. Sherrone Moore is in a pickle right now. The once national champs who went undefeated last year now stand on a 5-4 run. See, people will point fingers at Sherrone Moore for this disaster. However, we also have to talk about the offense and the defense. This year Michigan Wolverines have barely been able to go past the 30+ point mark across all of their games. This is wild because last year, under Jim Harbaugh, the Wolverines were bringing in more than 35+ on average in almost all of their games. Now is this Moore’s fault that the Wolverines just cannot bring in the same level of production?
This is what brings us to today’s discussion. Back in Michigan at The Voice of College Football, John and TJ scope out the 2 bad apples that Michigan needs to get rid of if they want to make a comeback next year. “Let’s start with Kirk Campbell. Should Kirk Campbell stay or go? In my opinion, John, we need to definitely look for a new addition,” TJ points out. The entire offense has been a mess this year. Michigan has only managed to average around 299 yards per game. They rank lower than unranked teams this year and this ain’t a good look. However, Kirk Campbell ain’t the only one who has to go.

“Let’s move on to Wink Martindale,” TJ mentioned. “He can go,” John replied. Oh, the poor defensive line. Last season, the Wolverines’ defense barely allowed opponents to cross past the 10.4 points per game mark. Not only that, their defensive line stopped the rushing yards per game at 90. Do you know the scenario this year? 109 rushing yards per game with 23 points allowed per game.
Generally, when it comes to football, people tend to show improvement. But this team and its coaching staff? They have been going downhill. And you can blame much of the issue on the shenanigans Harbaugh had done last year. See, let’s be honest about this; the entire cheating allegations and the investigation done by the NCAA proved that Michigan had foul play.
Yes, they were let go with just a slap on their wrist, but there is almost some form of collateral damage. This year is the perfect showcase for it. This team has barely any idea what they are doing on that turf. Their O-line and D-line, as pointed out before, are in an abysmal position and their QB depth is all over the place, with both Alex Orji and Davis Warren failing to recreate the same impact as JJ McCarthy. Removing Kirk Campbell and Wink Martindale will just be the start. Moore, if he is still the HC next year, has to also switch up the roster.

A fresh start for the Wolverines
See, the Wolverines recruitment team is doing wonders for it. A few days back, we got the news that a major commitment from the Bulldogs had decided to flip and join Moore’s crew. CB Shamari Earls was the guy, and this marked a big loss for Kirby Smart.
However, the recruitment drive has not stopped. See, Moore is currently gunning for a new QB for his 2025 roster and who could be better than 5-star QB Bryce Underwood? The entire recruitment team has already laid their trap. Currently, Underwood has an NIL offer of $5 million to switch from LSU to Michigan.

Now this is a big deal. Not only will Moore get a fresh QB for his quarterback room, but he will also secure a WR. See, LSU commit 4-star WR Derek Meadows, is another guy who had visited Michigan along with Underwood. Now if Underwood decides to accept the deal, then it will open doors for Meadows to flip as well. Let’s wait and watch if Moore manages to land a successful flip or not.
