FSU fans attacking DJ Uiagalelei's fiancée—Is this crossing the line or just passionate support?

From being a supposed NFL prospect with his transfer from Oregon State to Florida State, to now being booed by his own teams’ fans, DJ Uiagalelei has witnessed a fall from the stars. In the world of college football, it only takes one game to make or break a career and for Uiaglelei, he will need to give several outstanding performances to make up for the stain that will exist on his reputation after yesterday’s game against the Boston College Eagles.

Nobody could’ve believed that the Seminoles, who had a 13-1 record last season, would lose to the Eagles, who were in the bottom 5 with a 7-6 score in 2023. Though it is a team sport at the end of the day, Uiagalelei is facing most of the heat, since there were a lot of errors on his part that gave Boston the edge they needed to capitalize. As any fanbase in a sport does, the college football fans decided to go after DJ’s fiance, Ava Pritchard’s account, and spam her posts with ruthless comments about the QB’s horrible performance.

After the brutal loss at the hands of the Boston Eagles by a score of 13-28, it’s safe to say all the Florida fans had their faces in their hands. To vent their frustration with DJ they went into the comments of Ava Pritchard to let loose their harsh opinions. Additionally, DJ Uiagalelei’s Instagram account has also shut off the comments to avoid the constant churn of hate, and thus, the haters ended up going into Pritchard’s account.

One fan took it too far and advised Ava to call off their engagement since DJ would be such an embarrassment to her in the future. The comment read, “Your fiancé is a terrible quarterback. Time to call off the wedding. Ur not marrying the nfl quarterback you thought u were. I’m so sorry he’s embarrassing you.” Unfortunately, the hate train didn’t come to a halt here as the users overflowed her comment section with more and more harsh pieces of judgment towards the QB.

The inferno of rage continues to envelop Uiagalelei and his fiance

Have an interesting take?

Without a doubt, Uiagalelei messed up big time since this was the second game, where he didn’t make any significant impact on the team’s performance. Plus, he failed to create opportunities in the red zone and threw an interception in the third quarter that led to Boston College taking a 21-6 lead. But no sort of player deserves to be so outlandishly treated by the fans for having one bad day.

This person commented, “Your boyfriend can’t throw the ball over 5 feet smh” and received quite a few likes from other people who were able to relate to such thoughts as well.

Next, everyone is now pressing on D.J. about how he should quit football and become a ‘McDonald’s employee.’ With respect to this baseless formulation, this comment read, “Your boyfriend finna be bagging my fries at McDonald’s”

We all know how NFL players and their wives are showcased in a glamorous light but as per this fan, Ava wouldn’t be going to the NFL due to the poor performance that DJ had to give against Boston. They said, “You will not be a nfl wife”

Lastly, this user mocked the couple’s dreams of going to the NFL together and laughed it off when he wrote, “BRO IS NOT GOING PRO😂 we the people letting you know the plan is burning😂”

Thus, the couple is being spewed fire on and will probably be like that until DJ Uiagalelei shows insane skills on the gridiron soon, enough to prove that he’s capable enough of throwing the ball right and not making flimsy passes.
