January 22, Wednesday turned out to be an eventful day for the Clemson fans. After all, New York Yankees’ third baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. was in attendance at Littlejohn Coliseum. He sat behind the Clemson basketball bench to watch the Tigers beat ACC rival Syracuse 86-72. As found in Klubnik’s IG story, the quarterback and his mate wide receiver Antonio Williams were spotted hanging out with the MLB star. There was also a bigger purpose for Chisholm’s Clemson visit. Clemson baseball announced a gear partnership with Absolutely Ridiculous. The brand is represented by the Yankees’ third baseman. But even amidst professional obligations and games, he did have some fun time. He did not forget to share the clip on his IG story. Not just this, the Chisholm also sought Klubnik’s help for the quarterback’s backing.

In the picture, the MLB star is seen playing with a pigskin. Yes, at the Doug Kingsmre Stadium, Chisholm swapped his sport for a change. His opponent was the creative agency owner and the cameraman, Ryan Roehl. The caption on the video read, “Camera guy vs. Jazz Chisholm.” Well, from the video, there is no doubt that the MLB star’s legs did all the talking as he beat his opponent while running to the right spot to catch the ball. In case anyone doubted his skills, he knew whom to take the validation from. So he tagged the Klubnik, “Let em know @cadeklubnik Star receiver to.” And guess what was the QB’s reply?

What’s your perspective on:

Could Jazz Chisholm Jr. really make a splash in college football with Cade Klubnik's backing?

Have an interesting take?

Looked like Klubnik would be glad to have Chisholm in the Tigers’ squad. He joined the baseman in the banter. Even though Chisholm plays for the league, he can explore chances of making it to college. This time with Clemson. So Klubnik dished out a bold offer, “I KNOW YOU GOT SOME ELIGIBILITY LEFT.” Yes, the quarterback might be in his fun element, but it’s going to be a tough journey ahead.

Kade Klubnik’s rocky times ahead

When quarterbacks like Shedeur Sanders and Jalen Milroe committed themselves to the NFL Draft, Klubnik thought of bypassing it. He decided to return to school next season. Even though he is considered being a gifted quarterback with a dual-threat skill set fitting for today’s NFL, there have been many loopholes. First things first- Klubnik still struggles when defensive pressure gets home.

In case his athleticism takes a backseat, Dabo Swinney’s signal caller’s decision-making skills also remain questionable. He also falters with handling post-snap defensive rotations and changes. So, as per the NFL Scouting Report, Klubnik was graded at 7.5. Based on this, he was likely to be going in the second round of the draft. Now that he made a U-turn to college, things do not look positive either. On January 23, On3 released a list of “On3 Impact Top 25 QBs in College Football next season.”
