Is Bryce Underwood's laugh a sign Michigan's $4M offer is just a pipe dream?

Michigan Wolverines head coach Sherrone Moore was already in a tough spot with his team’s loss of 27-17 against Washington, and now he is also in a weird position with the 2025 recruiting class. Bryce Underwood’s recent reaction towards joining the Michigan Wolverines as a freshman has put Moore in a tricky spot. Let’s see what the fuss is all about.

Today, the Woodward Sports Network took to X to share Belleville High School five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood’s hilarious reaction to him flipping to the Michigan Wolverines for $4 million. The tweet says, “Belleville HS QB Bryce Underwood reacts to the Michigan rumors. Underwood is a 5 ⭐️ quarterback in the class of 2025 who is currently committed to LSU. Well, this surely puts Michigan’s head coach in a very weird position, as him not joining the program is another thing, but then making hilarious reactions over the thought of it is also something uncalled for.

The above-mentioned tweet also has a picture of Bryce Underwood with a laughing emoji reaction over this vague thought of him switching his mind, even though the player has already given his commitment to the LSU Tigers over Michigan in January. Well, Bryce’s blunt reaction could be because of Sherrone Moore’s coaching approach toward Michigan.

Michigan’s offensive line struggle was quite evident throughout their game against the Washington Huskies last week. Their quarterback situation came off as a major reason for their loss, as Moore benched starting QB Alex Orji for Jack Turtle. However, it looks like there is still hope left for the team, as they are on an edge over Illinois next week.

Does Sherrone Moore and the team have an advantage over Illinois?

Even though Michigan’s offense is struggling a lot in their recent games, they have the best run defense in the Big Ten. The Wolverines have allowed only 76 rushing yards per game in the ongoing tournament. Which is something head coach Sherrone Moore and the team could rely on.

Moreover, this fact was even highlighted by insider Sam on his recent episode of the ‘College Football with Sam‘ show, where Sam claimed that Michigan’s strong defense will surely result in a victory against Illinois. In the podcast, Sam talked about how Michigan’s defensive line has been a standout for them this season, which can be concerning for their opponent, saying, “Michigan right now is only allowing 76.3 yards per game, only allowing opponents to average 2.9 yards per carry, and they have a 5.56 sack percentage, which means on a little over 5% of their opponents’ dropbacks, they get to the quarterback, and they have 15 total sacks from the defensive line.” It will be interesting to see how Sheerrone Moore could fix the team’s QB issue and help his team maintain a consistent defense against Illinois.
