Did Michigan's $5 million NIL offer flop, or was Bryce Underwood always destined for LSU?

That $5 million ain’t got anything on Bryce Underwood. The year is over for the Wolverines. 2023 national champs who? Yeah, Sherrone Moore, with the loss to the Hoosiers, has marked his 5th season loss and this single-handedly pushes the Wolverines out of the Bowl games as well. This is wild. The team went 15-20 against Curt Cignetti and still couldn’t turn things around. Hoosiers have managed to maintain their undefeated run and they are heading into the playoffs. But boy oh boy, is this loss going to sting cause not only did Michigan lose their chance to make a comeback, but they also lost a 2025 5-star QB commit.

Back on X, Preston Guy shared, “Here’s the chain#LSU commit @BryceUnderwoo16 is wearing today. It’s a $15,000 moissanite chain from @shopDLG.” Wanna guess what was on that chain? Yeah, the LSU logo. If you didn’t know, Michigan was gunning it for Bryce Underwood. They even there in a $5 million NIL offer on the table to flip Underwood from LSU. Now why was this so important? See, Bryce Underwood ain’t an ordinary player.

Dude is marked as the No.1 player overall in the entire country, followed by the No.1 QB in the entire country. Losing him to LSU means Michigan’s hopes of having their dream QB for the 2025 comeback go right down the drain.

And this ain’t even the worst part. See, a few days back, we had covered how Underwood’s flip is important because Michigan could also stand at gaining another player for their roster from the LSU team. “I don’t think Meadows would’ve visited Michigan yesterday,” was what Michigan insider EJ Holland had revealed.

4-star WR Derek Meadows‘ flip was connected to the Underwood flip. Now with the latest post from Bryce, it looks like he ain’t coming to Michigan any time soon and this directly cuts off any shot at taking Meadows as well. Wolverines are done for this time and this entire downfall has been a wild ride. Still, does Sherrone Moore have a shot at making a return and restoring Michigan football to its former glory?

Have an interesting take?

A plan for Sherrone Moore to change the future?

Okay so let’s talk about Michigan offense and defense. Not only has their O-line been a disaster, but their entire defense has ALWAYS failed to stop proper runs. Yes, they did indeed manage to give Cignetti quite the fight. More so with the 2 back to back field goals in the 3rd quarter and pushing the Hoosiers to go scoreless as well.

However, if you look at it carefully, they have always managed to choke at the end of the game. A few days back, we covered 2 ways through which Moore can bring forth a change in the team. John and TJ from Michigan at The Voice of College Football pointed out that the Wolverines need to get rid of their offense and defense coach.

Kirk Campbell and Wink Martindale have been anything but productive. This is more worrying because both of the coaches have access to some good talents on that roster. Despite that the offense averaging only 299 yards every game and the defense going out 23 points on average is not a good sign. Moore has to switch up the coaching staff if he even wants Michigan on the charts next year.
