Home/College Football

The No. 1 college football recruit, Bryce Underwood, has turned into a love magnet in the college football world. Sure, he’s the heartbreaker of the Bayou Bengals, but future UM’s QB1 is making sure to win over this heart. With Valentine’s Day around the corner, the 5-star quarterback isn’t just focused on his future with Michigan Wolverines, but also on making sure someone special feels just as cherished. For a guy who’s been compared to Trevor Lawrence and Vince Young, dominating headlines is nothing new. But this time, it’s not about football — it’s about romance.

For months, Bryce Underwood has kept his personal life relatively private, but that soft launch era? Yeah, that’s over. His lucky lady is none other than Diana, a rising YouTuber whose online presence has started to gain traction. While Bryce has been busy preparing to make CFB defenders look foolish come 2025, he’s also been quietly making moves in his love life. And now, he’s ready to let the world in — at least a little. The quarterback, known for his cool, composed demeanor under pressure, has a softer side, and Valentine’s week was the perfect excuse to show it off.

The 6’4” phenom, who at one point seemed destined for LSU before Sherrone Moore and U-Mich came through with an offer too good to refuse, with some external help of the GOAT UM alumnus, Tom Brady, and billionaire Larry Ellison’s wife, Jolin Zhu. Depending on who you ask, his NIL deal ranges anywhere from $10.5 million to $15 million over four years. Underwood’s father, Jay, told the Wall Street Journal he expects his son to receive more than $15 million while serving as the Wolverines’ quarterback.

But forget the million-dollar figures for a second — his latest gesture was all about sentiment, not just spectacle. Red heart balloons. Roses. A perfectly curated Valentine’s Day setup. And of course, an Instagram story share that sent fans into a frenzy.

The post, shared by Diana — whose IG handle is @daythedolll — featured her draped in the romantic setup, with an aesthetic straight out of a rom-com. But if you were expecting Bryce to drop some elaborate, love-struck message in the comments, think again. Underwood kept it simple. If you know, you know. Buried in the sea of well-wishers and fire emojis was a comment only true Bryce Underwood fans would recognize: 💕💕💕💕💕💕.” No words needed — just pure, unfiltered affection. And sometimes, that says more than any caption ever could.

That’s exactly the kind of leadership Michigan fans love to hear from their next potential QB1.

On watching J.J. McCarthy at Michigan: Underwood has heard the comparisons to Michigan’s recent star QB, and he embraces them. “I get a lot of people that say my game replicates his as well. How much of a game-changer, how much of a leader I am. How much of a passer I can be, how much I can do it on my feet as well.” He said, noting that, like McCarthy, he can make plays through the air and on the ground.
