Travis Hunter continues to give reasons in favor of his highly hyped-up Heisman race. Colorado Buffs two-way superstar exceeded all the expectations in the last two games against Cincinnati and Texas Tech. The voters who were busy putting him on the sideline due to some injury got their answers, seeing the unfathomable nine receptions for 153 yards and two touchdowns stat under Travis’ belt in just against the Bearcats. The Heisman talk took a surge like never before, with people already deeming the 21-year-old an unofficial winner of the award. But we must not forget that talents like Cam Ward and Ashton Jeanty are still on the list. Last but not least, Shedeur Sanders has also been the underrated contender for the trophy.
Underrated? really? Or has he just been under the shadow of Travis Sanders? Well, ESPN’s Stanford Steve broke the bubble and reflected the light onto Coach Prime’s talented son. Shedeur has showcased what he can do as a young QB throughout this season. Although he undermined his chance to bring the Heisman home and kept his teammate cum brother, Hunter, a step ahead, Steve advocated for the reverse.

When asked about who’s the best value bet for the coveted honor, the ESPN mogul straightway said Shedeur Sanders. “I just feel like the way he makes that team go, I get it. Travis is the elite prospect and plays both sides, but the command Shedeur has, he didn’t start out great last week. And then he comes out, makes an adjustment and I just love how much better he’s gotten himself in arm strength accuracy.”
Coach Prime must have felt some conflicting emotions running through his veins as he already cast his vote for his favorite, Travis Hunter. But given that Shedeur is his son, the underlying pride can’t be denied whatsoever.
While coach Sanders is thankful for the hype, Travis Hunter is getting, dad Sanders is mad at the media bias for sidelining Shedeur Sanders.

Coach Prime bashed the media conspiracy for underrating Shedeur Sanders in the Heisman talks
As a dad, Coach Prime has never been the spokesperson for his sons. Rather, he has been the biggest critic of Shedeur and Shilo Sanders, calling them out on the public even for minor errors in any game. But his dad’s instincts always take a front seat whenever he spots a nasty media scheme targeting his sons.
As the Heisman conversation is on, Coach Prime and Shedeur Sanders seem interested in Travis Hunter’s rousing odds in the Heisman candidacy and can’t be happier if he brings the trophy to Boulder after a 30-year drought. Deion said Travis Hunter is the best college football player to ever exist in the mix where his son backed up his best buddy with a generous ‘Travis should win the Heisman’ claim.

But it stands true that despite racking up a brilliant season, Shedeur remains an unsung hero in the Heisman race. Dad Sanders found an anti-Buffaloes strategy behind it. ”I think they’re trying everything in their power to not have two Buffs there. Because if they have two Buffs there, guess what? They’re going to have three Buffs there. Because then I’m going,” said Coach Prime in a statement on November 15.
However, even if Hunter wins it over Shedeur Sanders, it will mark not only his individual legacy but also a collective Colorado Buffs’ resurgence, where Shedeur has his sweet contribution as well. So, technically, whoever from the Buffs is going to win the race, it would be a shared feat.
