Florida’s prominent wide receiver Eugene Wilson III recently liked a post on Reddit which said “Fire Napier”. This form of support from social media has caused controversy and thrown light on the likelihood of the existing rift between Napier and his players. This leads to dissent within the team and more concerns about the safety of Napier’s job to further increase the pressure on him.

In a contest in which the whole gamut of factors was tilted against Florida, QB Marcel Reed was shining for Texas A&M. Reed’s first college start saw him complete two passes for touchdowns and one rushing touchdown to give the Aggies its first-ever road win in 2 years and 11 months. The Florida offense was not consistent, had moments in the game where they appeared to be a dangerous, but could not deliver when it was needed, and the defense messed up by giving away several opportunities in the last parts of the game.
