Bill Belichick’s family is surely a busy one, but they make sure to count some special moments. Spring practice is in full swing at North Carolina, and the veteran coach has a lot to work on for his first year as a CFB coach. A new realm for a multiple-time Super Bowl-winning coach. However, if the past is anything to go by, there shouldn’t be any issue for Belichick at the Tar Heels. His daughter, Amanda Belichick, is just as busy despite having clinched a victory in the Patriot League. However, her family is making sure to keep cheering for her from home.
Amanda Belichick led the Holy Cross Crusaders to a 16-10 victory over Bucknell on March 29. She is a formidable coach for the school’s women’s lacrosse program and is now in her 10 year in the role. Her dedication to the team leads her to leave her children, Jaycee and Clarke, at home. But they sure are their mother’s number one supporters and do not shy away from showing it in their way. But the coach has to deliver when the team needs her, and she proved her prowess in that game.
For the Patriot League game, Amanda had to travel to Bucknell on an overnight trip. Her kids had some special souvenirs of themselves stowed away in her luggage in a heartwarming gesture. They were a stuffed Bluey toy and a unicorn, a token of love from each of her kids. Amanda shared a picture on Instagram displaying the trinkets.

The caption read, “1st overnight trip of the year and my kids packed me some of their treasures 🥰.” Coaches from other programs, like Mary Heneberry Eames from American University, also gushed about the sweet tokens of love the kids sent with Amanda.

Amanda is just as brilliant as Bill Belichick
Amanda Belichick was part of her alma mater, Wesleyan University’s lacrosse team, when she was a student. She was a four-year letter winner at the program and was the captain during her senior year. In her college career, she recorded 47 goals and 25 assists for 72 points. Amanda was ultimately offered a coaching position here, where she seemed to carry her father’s genius as well. As head coach, she pulled the Cardinals from a national computer ranking of 73 to a brilliant high of 17, all within one year.

Amanda also coached Ohio State lacrosse as offensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator. At Columbus, she was behind three Tewaaraton Award nominees, four IWLCA All-Americans, and 11 All-American Lacrosse Conference players. That’s more than enough accolades to show her coaching prowess and that she is her father’s daughter. She’s been just as formidable as the Holy Cross Crusaders’ head coach and has already pitched in an impressive 8-3 record so far.
She has also created impressive feats in her current home. Many players of the program have placed in the NCAA’s national leader statistics during her tenure. In 2024, Isabela Miller ranked ninth in the country in assists per game. Jolie Creo, in 2022, placed 6th in points per game and 11th in goals per game. Also under Amanda, Holy Cross made an appearance in the Academic Honor Squad eight times. She was named the Patriot League Coach of the Year in 2024 after leading the team to their second semi-final appearance since 2014.

Bill Belichick is beyond happy to see his daughter grow into a phenomenal leader. “We’ll be together, just catching up, and then the next thing we know we’re talking about our teams, our players, how to handle a variety of situations. So one minute it’s father-daughter, and the next minute it’s just two coaches doing what any two coaches would do. Learn from each other, try to get better and continue meeting our daily challenges in competition,” the veteran coach said. Amanda’s family, be it her father or kids, is always going to be her biggest pillar of support.
