Bill Belichick isn’t averse to stirring mainstream discourse. It would be an understatement to say his coaching career, especially in New England, was marred by frequent controversy. The infamous “SpyGate” comes to mind as the epitome. Even as Belichick enters this new leg of his career and life, the 72-year-old is not quite walking a linear, conventional path. Belichick’s exit from the Patriots coincided with him publicizing his relationship with 24-year-old Jordon Hudson. Now we’ve heard about rebounds, and Belichick sure was coming out of a 23-year “marriage” with the Pats. But he may have taken the next number in order too literally! The couple apparently met via pure fate on an airplane, seated adjacent to each other. Fast forward 2 years, and their relationship is going strong. So strong that it may be headed towards a holy, perpetual bond.

An epidemic has infested society at large, and the footballing realm hasn’t been immune either. Social media has only fanned the flames of it. It’s the fallacious and dangerously widespread notion that public figures’ private lives are up for judgment. That said, Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson haven’t done themselves any favors with the optics of this relationship. As a result, this epidemic swept across him. Owing to Belichick’s eminence, Jordon has herself garnered a platform and voice. She’s been steadily building up her social media presence. A week ago, Jordon recently addressed the hateful commentary about the couple on her IG. Just when things had seemingly quelled, her latest IG activity stirred the pot again.

“͏I͏ c͏an’t wait to take punches for you ͏in 2025. Keep ͏swinging, Keyboard Warriors. Your͏ illusion of righteousne͏ss ͏on͏ly͏ fuels m͏y authentic͏ity,” wrote Jordon to Bill Belichick. A strong message from a strong-willed woman. She’s continued taking these “Keyboard Warriors” head-on. This time around, she’s pouring fuel over the proverbial fire of the couple’s rumored engagement. All this ordeal was missing was a somewhat cryptic caption, eh?

Jordon Hudson posted a picture of the pair alongside the words “Birds of a feather…” This, of course, is in reference to the idiom “Birds of a feather flock together,” Which signifies two people who’ve got so much in common in terms of interests and characteristics that they stay together- always. Jordon knows what she’s doing here. This post follows on from Charlotte Wilder of The Sports Gossip Show floating a notion to ESPN’s Paul Finebaum. Not only is Belichick headed towards putting a ring on Hudson, but he already may have.

“They do look real together. Don’t they? You tell me from your perspective,” asked Finebaum during a guest appearance on the aforementioned show. To this, Wilder said the following. “You know [Jordon] had a diamond ring on her left hand. On the finger where I wear my engagement and wedding rings,” This may well be unfiltered gossip. The name of the show lends to it, after all. However, there’s no smoke without fire. Speaking of which, this segues into a perhaps darker rumor surrounding Belichick and Hudson.

Speculation about a fight preceded that of an engagement between Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson

During a previous iteration of her show, Charlotte Wilder discussed affairs around the couple with her co-host, Madeline Hill. They think there’s some peculiar stuff ongoing, which points to friction between the two. “Anytime people really start going hard on like, ‘look how much we love each other,’ I get a little suspicious. I’m like, is this wishful thinking? Is something not going well? You’re trying to double down?” remarked Madeline Hill, before then saying “pure speculation.” However, Hill did point to something she proclaims to be a “1000%” sure about. A sentiment that her co-host concurred with.

“Our whole theory here, by the way, is that Jordon is running [Bill Belichick’s] Instagram account, and I feel 1,000% confident that’s correct…because he has a book coming out, and the caption uses big words again that are not necessarily what you would use and are in her voice,” claimed Madeline Hill. She has previously spoken about how Jordon tends to use “big words” on her own IG that are often written out of context.  The hosts added 2 and 2 from the timeline of events and came to a hypothesis- that they’re “fighting.” They elaborated on why.

Madeline Hill said, “[Jordon Hudson] posted that [Belichick] has a book coming out on his Instagram. Then, two days later, his Instagram story is a very zoomed-in picture of that post. The next slide is just a blurry slide, and it just has a line of text…It is a hyperlink written out that you can’t click…It was so painful. But clearly, he was trying to do something.” Hill implied that this was Bill Belichick trying to take back the onus of his own IG and book but not quite being up to speed with how to work the app. Hence, the erratic nature of the posts is something opposite to when Jordon controls his account.

To this, her co-host Charlotte Wilder said, “I think they got in a fight about the Instagram. [Jordon’s] like, ‘You don’t know how to use this. I know how to do it, just let me run it. [Belichick is] a stubborn man, and said, ‘I want to do it myself. Let me do it myself.’…I checked this morning and his post was still up. So she hasn’t gone in and taken it down. That’s why I think they’re in a fight about it.” It’s almost impressive how the two hosts took things from relatively nothing to a whole lot! As preached right on the top. Discussing others’ private affairs has become an epidemic sweeping around the world. The only antidote is to live and let live.
