Caleb Williams showing up for USC vs. LSU—Does this boost the Trojans' morale or add pressure?

In the NFL, the clubs keep on changing, but the firm bond between the talent and their recruiter mostly remains around the clock. Bear’s latest catch, Caleb Williams, who used to be an integral team asset of the USC until a few months ago, is rooting again for his former peers in the USC Trojans as they head to a crucial fight against LSU Tigers tonight.

Sunday night rolled as the highly awaited game of week 1 of college football. With both the schools (Tigers and the Trojans) standing close to each other with No 13 and 23 places in the respective order, the game had to be a tiff clash. USC and Willam have been a fruitful duo to cherish forever. The QB’s storied career started reaching its peak with his consistent contribution to the Trojans’ collective growth. In 2022, he had a marquee session with a throw for 4,537 yards and 42 touchdown passes, keeping the Trojans on the forefront with an 11-3 record. This stupendous performance led him to earn the Heisman Trophy.

While heading to the next year, he lost the pace a little and the gaudy numbers couldn’t remain the same. But he still chalked up a decent stint and was able to lead the team’s high-voltage defense. Despite his career not having sailed from USC, this is the home where he evolved into a bona fide superstar from a rookie. While now he’s seated to look forward to marking even a greater season at Chicago Bears, his underlying connection with the Trojans has been a constant. The deep loyalty to his former team and its people, including best buddy Lincoln Riley, took him tonight to watch a spectacular LSU vs USC battle live from the ground.

”All I’ve heard is great things about you all. I’m ready to go,” Willam told NBC Sports Chicago in a one-to-one interview. Shedding light on his lengthy hiatus, the former Oklahoma guy added, ”I haven’t been on a football team since Nov. 18.
