CU Buffs fans calling for disrespect—Is this the right way to support your team?

Deion Sanders’ Colorado Buffs will face the Baylor Bears next week, for which Baylor’s HC appreciated them for their last game’s efforts. However, it looks like the fans are still stuck in the Buffs’ last week’s showdown against the CSU Rams. As once again, they are offering conflicting responses to the event.

Today @Jaki took to X to shared Baylor’s head coach Dave Aranda’s remarks, appreciating CU’s performance. “A lot of respect for our opponent… It’s going to take our best. If #2 knows what you are in, he eats you up. That’s an NFL thing. I think Deion is doing a great job. I have a lot of respect.” But it looks like fans have a different viewpoint on this placid remark. As they bring out the whole disrespect incident after Dave’s interview. But before coming to that, let’s know about what happened in their last week’s match against CSU.

The last week’s game was a kind of bittersweet experience for Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffs. The state rivalry match resulted in a high-margin win of 9-28 against the State Rams. But only if they would have played with dignity and sportsman spirit. The crowd constantly gave the Buffs a hard time by calling out names, showing them hand gestures, and whatnot! Even after such derogatory actions, fans have divided opinions on the whole incident.

Fans giving mixed reactions to Deion Sanders and the Buffs

The fans took to X, sharing their candid thoughts on Aranda’s comments. One comment read, “Why do they say I have a lot of respect n—-s need to disrespect us?”. It looks like fans wanted the team to take much more serious action toward CSU after their massive disrespect toward the Buffs. Another fan also followed the same notion, saying, “He was supposed to say shedeur diamonds are fake.” Travis has 6 dreads, and Prime has 6 toes.” Well, the comment clearly states that this fan does not like Dave Aranda’s remarks on Deion Sanders and his team.

A fan had a completely different opinion on Dave’s speech as he made a sarcastic comment on Deion Sanders and the Buffs, saying, “yeah they are shaking in their boots with the elite program cu is 🤣🤣. dont wanna rile up a team who has won 1 p5 game in the last 2 years”. This surely states that fans have a mixed opinion about the whole incident, as he calls Deion Sanders Colorado Buffs’ elite status, not that elite. Looks like fans are applying the inverse theory by criticizing Deion and the team. So that they perform well against the Badgers. Another fan added to the above comment with the same approach, saying, “He pretty much said they CU defense s–k So CU we gotta b–l out again” This fan straightaway criticized Colorado’s defense against CSU. Let’s see if this works for the Buffs in their upcoming matchup against the MS State.
