The QB1 debate for the Longhorns. Well, you know this has been something that the fans have been raging about for some time. On one side, you have Arch Manning, and on the other, you have Quinn Ewer. Now, why is Ewers the better pick? Here’s the thing: before this guy was brought on to lead the Longhorns offense, Texas had pretty much nothing. Back in 2021, they were coming off of a 5 win season. The moment Quinn Ewers stepped in, the Longhorns went for a massive 8-4 run in 2022 and then followed it up by a 12-1 run in 2023 and their first-ever conference appearance in 14 years.

Ain’t no wonder Steve Sarkisian decided to stick with Ewers, and now, with the NFL calling, it is not a new fact that Ewers is gonna get emotional when the conversation of leaving the Longhorns comes into play. Back on X, Cedric Golden shared an emotional moment that happened during the Senior Day festivities. “I noticed CDC wiping tears from Quinn Ewers’ eyes,” Golden wrote in his post.

After giving two massive seasons to the Longhorns and almost on the way to grabbing another conference appearance this year, it ain’t no wonder why Ewers was crying. Going up against the dangerous Wildcats team right now, Ewers has to make this count.

See, Texas is on the 3rd post on the CFP list, but this has come with its own set of backlash. The biggest came from Nick Saban. “(Texas) has only played 1 top team and got beat,” Saban had mentioned. The Longhorns have had a relatively easy schedule, with only the Dawgs game being the hardest and also the only loss in their 10-game run.

The Wildcats’ though, is another big team they have to win over. These guys almost managed to win over Georgia at 12-13 back in September. They have got a hit-or-miss offense, but their defense has almost never disappointed. So, do the Longhorns and Ewers have a winning shot at this?

Quinn Ewers gotta bring out his best

What’s your perspective on:

Is Quinn Ewers the savior Texas needed, or is Arch Manning the future of Longhorns football?

Have an interesting take?

See, if we are talking purely from a roster standpoint, then Sarkisian has the upper hand. Texas arguably has one of the strongest offense and defense with them and this will make it hard for the Wildcats. Kentucky’s offensive game is abysmal.

The team has barely managed to cross past the 20-point mark in their games. However, at the same time, they still have managed to contain most of their opponents to the 25-point mark. Ewers has to bring in his big plays for this. Kentucky will do everything to blitz the QB and if that happens then no one will be able to stop the turnovers.
