It’s too difficult for Boise State Broncos fans, isn’t it? After all, they must let go of their favorite RB Ashton Jeanty. He could have been lucky to make his Boise State chapter end with a happy note- the Heisman. Sadly, his luck didn’t favor him. So, he thought it better to move on and focus on the next chapter. Jeanty had committed himself to the 2025 NFL Draft. But looks like his heart still aches for that blue turf.
That’s when he came up with a heartfelt tribute to his Broncos fans, letting them know that he will always have a permanent place reserved in his heart for them. Yet, at the same time, he is perturbed about what’s next.
Ashton Jeanty’s heartfelt goodbye

Jeanty played for the Broncos and turned into an attention magnet throughout the 2024 season. There have been quite a few highlighting moments of the phenom. His fabulous win over Hawaii with a super late kick time. And wait. How could we forget the 62-30 Broncos ‘boisterous’ feat against Utah State Aggies? In that game, Jeanty came off indomitable by carrying the pigskin 31 times for 217 yards. These were enough to woo the analysts who then did a comparison of Jeanty’s stats with the past three RB Heisman winners- Derrick Henry, Mark Ingram, and Reggie Bush. Sadly, the Heisman dream did not come true. But at least he could almost catch with the legendary Barry Sanders’ 2,628 yards running only 27 yards short. Finally, on January 7, he declared for the 2025 NFL Draft.

A week later he came up with a heartfelt post on Instagram expressing his loyalty towards the blue squad. The caption read, “It’s been real Boise💙 #deuceout✌🏾 #bronco4life.” Now the farewell definitely hurts him. After all, he has been a Bronco since September 2021. Over the last three years, Jeanty has hoarded tons of memories that he will be carrying to the next chapter of his life. Unlike the No.2 jersey, he will not have to let go of them.
The post had snaps of the RB hustling with Dan Lanning’s boys before they lost to the Oregon Ducks 37-34. There is also a collage where Jeanty struck the famous Trunk vs. Goten pose from Dragon Ball Z with his fellow fullback Tyler Crow. A Lego figure, him giving autographs, and some of the best moments of his life spent with Boise State are there in the post. But the time has come for Jeanty to don a new jersey. Looks like he is already sorted with what he wants.

The NFL possibilities for Ashton Jeanty
The Boise State Broncos RB said playing for the Dallas Cowboys would be “a dream come true.” Right now Jerry Jones’ program has the No.12 pick. So, it won’t be easy for Jeanty to take his talents to Dallas. After all, taking him at that spot would make it more difficult for the Cowboys to fill some other high-profile roster needs. Also, Jones has already contacted Colorado Buffaloes HC Deion Sanders. To land Coach Prime, they will have to fulfill his condition, to land his two sons, Shedeur and Shilo.
Now, if they are so serious about making it happen, they will have to trade their 12th pick and land the Buffs QB. But not to worry Jeanty fans. The RB also revealed about his Option B a few months back. Last year in November, when Boise State still was part of the race, Jeanty’s mind was somewhere in the NFL. He openly shared about his interest in landing with the $4.3 billion Arizona Cardinals.

Well, he did not take the name of the NFL program, but his hints were enough. The Boise State RB shared, “I could get down with Kyler [Murray].” But out of all why the Cardinals? Ashton Jeanty then shared his real intention, “You know we’re going to be the shortest backfield in the NFL.” However, there too is a problem. Kyler Murray stands at 5’10” being the shortest QB in the NFL. But Jeanty’s height is not going to favor him as being an RB he is 5’9” when the players in his position are on the shorter side. Now let’s see what fate has in store for him.
