Army and Navy might break a sweat to prepare for a historic clash this Saturday. But the sideline is still going to steal the spotlight. Boiling rivalry, hardcore preparation, unprecedented hype, everything seems to be in place before the high-profile teams take over the Northwest stadium. But nothing can quite match the energy of a prolific presence in the stadium. Donald Trump fans, down the hatch, please! The national top billing will huddle with allies on a chilly December afternoon. The president-elect will be back in his ritual to attend the annual rivalry game after a lot of back and forth, setting the political bar higher.

”I will be going to the Army/Navy Game tomorrow to root for these fantastic young men. Should be a great game. See you there! DJT,” the to-be 47th President of the United States announced on social media. He’s expected to sit with Vice President-elect JD Vance, embattled Pentagon pick Pete Hegseth, potential backup defense option Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, and others.

We can easily guess that the cameras for CBS will not leave them alone this Saturday. They’re, right now, at a top relevant spot in the political ballgame, gearing up for their term together at the White House. Attending the signature Army-Navy match is considered a tradition for every POTUS in the US.

Joe Biden is, however, an exception. Biden has never graced the VIP audience seat in any Army-Navy game while he was on the chair. Maybe, just maybe, he’ll break that infamy by a surprise attendance for this afternoon’s showdown.

However, there are certain rules and restrictions to manage high-voltage attendance. When there is high political intensity in a football ground, it will be on the nation and the organizers to ensure heavy safety.

Northwest Stadium will be under severe surveillance during and before the high-stake kickoff

The federal government has put a temporary ban on drone activity above and around Northwest Stadium in Landover on Saturday. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland also announced a temporary flight restriction for the game that will kick off around 3 p.m. No drone will be spotted for a two-nautical-mile radius around the stadium and up to 2,000 feet above ground level.

”Drone operators need to know that we take seriously any incursion in the restricted airspace around the Army-Navy Game. Such incursions threaten the safety of those involved. We will investigate and prosecute anyone who violates the no drone zone,” said U.S. Attorney Erek L. Barron.

The restriction came after multiple sources reported unnotified drone entry in the New Jersey area for the last few days, raising a question about public safety. For the sake of nearly 62,000 people in the stadium, the athletes, and all A-lister visitors, the authority couldn’t take any risk.

Still, the highest attention and traffic for the legendary American game will be in jeopardy as the coveted Time-Honored tradition of the game will no longer have an effect this season. Every second Saturday of the month of December used to be solely reserved for the classic Army-Navy rivalry. But this time, despite growing resurgence, it seems the national attention will be divided between Army-Navy and the Salute to Veterans Bowl between WMU and South Alabama scheduled for a happening Saturday.

But still, the ball game is different whenever the Army and Navy meet each other. Ohio State vs Michigan and Alabama vs Auburn are all great. But North West Stadium will witness an intense rivalry where each and every player will be playing to win. The sheer pageantry oozes out from every corner. Who will have the last laugh? With quarterback Bryson Daily, it’s of no question that the Army’s offense runs unstoppable throughout a winning season. On the other hand, the Midshipmen can throw the ball better, with Blake Horvath carrying the lead.

Let’s see which juggernaut will be on the good grace of Donald Trump in Maryland this weekend!
