Don’t you think it’s kind of wild that this is the first season Arch Manning has had a chance to properly play for the Longhorns, and the fans already prefer him over Quinn Ewers? Hey, don’t want to start a fight, but you have to agree that there is something different about this guy. When Ewers was taken off early into the season because of his injury, Arch Manning finally got his time to shine. First game, and he goes 5 total touchdowns in just 9 total passes. Let’s roll back to something recent. Longhorns were almost at the endzone, but Texas A&M was doing a really good job of holding them, so what does Steve Sarkisian do? Swap Ewers with Arch Manning, and boom, you have a rushing touchdown from the guy.

And now that the Longhorns are waiting for their SEC title game against Georgia (A second chance to redeem themselves), people have already started wondering where Manning will go when it’s finally his time to leave for the NFL. Well, Archie knows. Back on X, Yahoo Sports shared what Archie Manning had to say about Arch’s NFL draft. “If somebody asked me, I’d say, Cowboys,” Archie had mentioned. See, with the Manning family, we already saw the move Eli Manning had pulled way back in 2004 because he didn’t wanna go with the Chargers. While there was some controversy initially, everything did smooth out by the end. Now, if Archie plays the kingmaker, then Arch can easily get into Dallas, and it won’t even be that bad.

Now, let’s just assume that this was Arch’s final year with the Longhorns. So, will Jerry Jones benefit if he manages to pull this young star? From a quarterback prospect? Yes. You can say that Quinn Ewers is the more experienced guy than Arch, but when Texas has Arch Manning, even if they lose Ewers, they will still be in the game.

The dude is just that reliable. While Sarkisian has been firm with his pick to keep Ewers as QB1, whatever Arch has done in those 7 games, he got a chance to play in and does raise a convincing argument on benching Ewers. Arch has already covered close to 1000 yards, along with 13 touchdowns. He even has a QBR of 86.

And if we look at the Cowboys’ current scenario with Dak Prescott and his injury, then yeah, Arch can easily fill in those shoes. He will indeed need a ton of practice because college football and the NFL are on completely different skill levels. Again, he is someone who has always managed to impress. But wait. While Archie has his eyes on the Cowboys, the “people” feel that Arch should go somewhere else.

$7.3 billion NFL side

2-10. Yeah, not a great 2024 season for the Giants, huh? Way back in November, we had covered that the Giants, for the 2025 NFL drafts, have managed to grab the 2nd overall picking. Now, they have some good choices out there: Shedeur Sanders, Cam Ward, Carson Beck, etc.

What’s your perspective on:

Could Arch Manning be the Cowboys' next big star, or is it just wishful thinking?

Have an interesting take?

But what if people want Arch Manning in the mix? Much like the Cowboys QB dilemma, the Giants are going through the same thing. Daniel Jones has been a hit or miss, and despite his “mini resurgence” mid-season, the team still ain’t doing good.

With the dude’s contract expiring in 2026, the Giants could push for Arch Manning. See, in reality, Arch will be eligible for the draft in 2026. So, this is just perfect. Jones goes out, and Manning comes in. This would actually be the most perfect Eli Manning flip recreation.
