Ain’t no one living it off better than Texas Longhorns fans. With 2 of the best QBs on the table right now, fans are having a hard time picking. When Quinn Ewers got pulled out of the game because of his injury, Arch Manning had to take over, and boy oh boy did he deliver. Against the Roadrunners, Manning pulled in 4 touchdowns after he hit the turf, and ever since, he has been riding the wave and making Steve Sarkisian proud.

Now, as the Longhorns are fighting the MS Bulldogs off. The Manning hype train is all over the news. College Football Report took to X to share Arch Manning’s 49-yard touchdown pass to DeAndre Moore during the 2nd quarter. This is such a spectacle. If we go back and look at the Warhawks game, Manning pulled out the same solid plays. With 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions, the Longhorns managed to close the game at a massive 51-3 score with Arch Manning leading the team.

At this point, it feels like Quinn Ewers’ injury has turned into a blessing in disguise. Imagine a guy who has barely any experience playing in CFB managing to nail the starting QB role this good. Sarkisian right now has the ‘go big or go broke’ roster. However, you still gotta keep in mind that Ewers is also a gem. While Sarkisian did inform us that Ewers’ condition has “improved” we still don’t have a solid date on when he could finally return.

However, the worst part about it right now is that Sarkisian doesn’t even have a reason to pull Manning out of the field. With what he has managed to achieve in just 2 games, he could easily lead the team to a solid run for the rest of the season.

On this note, after the Roadrunners game, Caroline Fenton from Rivals raised a fair point. “Even without Quinn Ewers, Texas can still win a national championship,” Fenton had noted. Still, the fans are divided and they just don’t know what the Longhorns future holds.

The Quinn Ewers – Arch Manning dilemma

What’s your perspective on:

Is Arch Manning the future of Texas Longhorns, or should Quinn Ewers still be the starter?

Have an interesting take?

“Arch is great bet let’s not forget in behalf of every real Texas fan, this is Quinn’s team until next season. Stop this nonsense,” was the first thing a fan mentioned on X. Come on, can we need to be better folks? While it is true that this is Ewers’ team through and throughout, Manning is doing quite the job of holding the title and keeping the Longhorns at No.1 in the SEC.

On this note, a fan pointed out, “Ewers should’ve declared for the draft. Bro is never seeing the field again 😭😭😭😭😭.” Quite true. Sarkisian would have a really hard time picking his next starting QB after Ewers recovers from his injury. In the same sentiment, a fan noted, “They gonna have problems pulling Manning out unless he gets hurt.” Let’s hope Sark has a good reason stored in his bag.

“I’ve seen enough, best quarterback in the country,” a fan was quick to declare after watching Manning’s performance against the Bulldogs. It ain’t no wonder why people already want him in the NFL draft. However, much like ESPN Kickoff had pointed out, Manning ain’t getting on the roster yet. This guy is only 19 and would be eligible for the draft in 2026. Finally, a fan said, “Ewers not getting that job back.” Maybe he will or maybe he won’t. However, y’all should let us know who you are rooting for as the Longhorns QB; Ewers or Manning.
