Is Jalen Milroe unfairly blamed for Alabama's offensive woes, or is he the team's weak link?

Ayo! Who’s catching strays on a random Thursday? There seems to be a round of blind firing after they came on to Jalen Milroe. Alabama’s QB1 has been feeling the heat from all over since the trip from Tennessee. No, we aren’t talking about the weather; it was after his lowest passing circus completed only 55.6% of his throws. Like this wasn’t enough to make a grown man cry. They even called him a rotten apple of the team, like what? While My man is still in the Heisman marathon.

The 24-17 eye-opening loss last weekend brought Milroe into troubled waters for which he shouldered most of the blame. The passing discrepancies, along with the relying too much on a 17-year-old rook by some constant passes, blamed the people and pundits. But it seems there’s more to it than meets the eye.

@tdalabamamag, the Crimson Tide’s famous media page on Instagram, takes a shot on Alabama’s offensive firepower after the first seven games. The magazine page compared Bama’s starter back duo with last year’s battering Rams Jase McClellan and Roydell Williams. And how were they doing things differently at this point of the season? The gram post included a post from X by the Tides’ own media student Brody Smoot. He brought straight stats. And, asked to see the bigger picture. it’s not all Jalen Milroe, they have an offensive issue, with Alabama’s top two running backs Jam Miller and Justice Haynes at the heart of it.

In the first seven games, Miller and Haynes combined for 110 carries, making 673 yards for nine touchdowns. However, Smoot pointed, “Last season, Alabama’s top two RB’s – Jase McClellan and Roydell Williams combined to have 291 carries for 1,450 yards and 13 touchdowns”. The comment section had some mixed reactions. However, most of them agreed and called the offensive coordinator to handle things better.

But you could clearly see the rage for their signal caller. Some were still calling out Milroe for carrying the ball too much. But as far as talent is concerned, the backs are Bama’s best option. Yes, they might be struggling a bit, but they are still the top contenders. And as for their QB, he has had 26 touchdowns so far. Is it not also the reason Alabama is 5-2.

Alabama’s route runner has got Jalen Milroe’s back

And as they all should. Amid all the accusations of keeping star wideout Ryan Williams on his back and hampering his growth. WR Germie Bernard stepped up in support of Milroe after Tuesday’s practice. “We always have J-Mil’s back,” Bernard said. “Whether the ball is in our vicinity, we have to be better at making those plays when those opportunities come our way.” That’s a real teammate.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Jalen Milroe unfairly blamed for Alabama's offensive woes, or is he the team's weak link?

Have an interesting take?

The locker room has got a lot a lot of faith in their QB which is much needed for a top performer like him. Pressure is a privilege; nobody talks about the unknown. A few incomplete passes don’t take away the fact that Milroe is still one of the top 10 QBs by On3 and is a Heisman running.

A lot to be answered by the Bama Boys as a team in the next game against Missouri. The home advantage will be crucial.
