Colorado fans have been holding their breath to see them in action again and finally, it’s time to roll. CU will take on the BYU Cougars in the Alamo Bowl this Sunday at 5:30 p.m. MT (ABC). Deion Sanders and co had a blowout win against Oklahoma State and closed out their regular season in style a month back. But they didn’t just relax and sit back. They have a bowl to win dodging Kalani Sitake’s collection of menacing offensive squads. We smell a nail-biter which can only be intensified with a pair of legendary announcers sprinkling a little sensation and a lot of value to the factual nitty gritty of a compelling postseason.

After having a short breathing gap following a tight-knit 9-3 season, the Buffs squad was back in their boots in the rigorous practice sessions almost immediately as they look to win their first bowl since 2024. Under Deion Sanders, the program underwent a huge turnaround but couldn’t ace a bowl game yet. So, the push looks serious for the Buffs and they can settle for nothing but a win. On the other side, No 17 Cougars don’t seem to blow out their chance with an ‘overachiever’ defense either. It will be simply a Sanders explosive offense vs the Cougars cohesive defense that had only 20 combined interceptions so far in the season. You can catch the show live on ABC, with streaming options available on the ESPN app or Fubo, and trust that Dave Pasch (play-by-play), and Dusty Dvoracek (analyst), will be behind the commentator box to please your ears. Taylor McGregor will join the duo to ensure the sideline reporting.

Dave Pasch and Dusty Dvoracek are calling games together for the fourth consecutive season. The legendary pair had extensive experience of sharing the studio and dishing out the best for their audiences for a while.

Individually. Pasch, a versatile football and basketball play-by-play voice, celebrated his 20th year at ESPN and is expected to stretch his legacy in broadcasting for longer. A two-time Oklahoma Sooners captain and former NFL Draft pick, Dvoracek’s wizard excellence also adds the necessary flicker to the recipe. Together, they are capable of turning a sluggish show into a blockbuster.

But, no worries, the much-awaited Colorado vs BYU shows every sign to be a real blockbuster, for that matter, a little mushy as well, especially for the Buffs who will bid an unofficial goodbye to their Iron Man and War Machine.

Coach Prime goes beyond his ways to ensure safety for his key players in the Alamo bowl

Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders will have their last game in the CU jersey at Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. Both Hunter and Shedeur Sanders have been at the center stage of an esteemed CU offense throughout the season. They set a real example of what a team game looks like. Both added hefty numbers under their belt and significant individual titles. While Hunter, after a lot of back and forth, brought the Heisman Trophy to Boulder after a 30-year drought, while quarterback Shedeur Sanders took home the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award.

”We happen to have two players that are probably going to be the first two picks of the NFL Draft. I think we all know who those two are, and they have received, I think, the highest number of coverage that has ever been covered in college football. It far exceeds anyone who has ever played this game of college football. So, we’re happy and excited,”  said coach Deion Sanders after taking out a record disability insurance for his Travis and Shedeur.

It remains to be seen if the epic Hunter-Sanders duo can make their last stretch memorable just like their storied stint at Boulder, outstripping the Cougars’ defense or not! But regardless, Coach Prime warns their boys not to get intoxicated with success.
