As much as it hurts to admit, if the Tide continues to roll like this, then they gonna roll out of the playoffs. Coming off of the Vandy disaster, people had thought that Kalen DeBoer would do something about today and grab an easy W. Kalen DeBoer and his boys were tested by the Dores, and some of the main problems that we noticed during that game was the overconfidence and the lack of presence. Kalen DeBoer and Co. did not feel like the powerhouse they are.
Austin Randolph took to X after the South Carolina game to point out 3 major blunders that create major concerns for the future of Bama. “3 times after DeBoer called timeouts we had disastrous plays,” Austin noted. The first error was the 4th down touchdown pass, followed by QB Jalen Milroe getting picked before the half and then finally the onside kick. These 3 issues could’ve been easily avoided, but here we are.

This gives rise to a whole set of problems. DeBoer and Co. have already struggled and lost against an unranked opponent (Vanderbilt). That game brought out many problems with the team. There was complacency and even arrogance. You can credit it all to the Bulldogs win.
It’s hilarious to think that the game that people had thought Bama wouldn’t pull out of, they managed to win. However, the next 2, which should have been easier than making a PB&J sandwich at midnight, turned out to be a pure embarrassment. The entire offense was down, badly. Milroe, who is regarded as a Heisman contender, covered a mere 16-23 passes and only 209 yards. It feels like DeBoer has to let off some steam now. These boys need to get a mouth full and Kalen DeBoer’s vow to stay calm ain’t paying off.

And honestly, we cannot sugarcoat this; Bama only won this game because Gamecocks QB LaNorris Sellers missed his pass during the final few seconds. This guy, for some wild reason, throws towards the stands instead of his teammates. The question now is: Can DeBoer and Bama survive the rest of the schedule?
Kalen DeBoer and the future of Crimson Tide
Bama is going to Rocky Top and the chances of them pulling a W out of the bag during this one seem low. After the 2 back-to-back disasters against 2 unranked teams, DeBoer and Co. are on a steady decline. Could the Vols be the final nail in the coffin?

The last time Bama and Vols went against each other was back in 2022. The entire 50-49 win for the Vols was the first one since 2006 and arguably holds the spot of being one of the greatest SEC games of all time. The Vols are running on a 4-1 run with a loss to Arkansas.
We will say that no one had thought that Tennessee would lose to Arkansas, but after what Bama has managed to get done, anything is possible in this sport. Keep in mind that the Vols will bring their all to this game and with the offense being on-point for the last few games, if DeBoer does not fix the problems that have sprung out then it is done for.
