Another loss! Alabama experienced their 3rd loss of the season on the road against the Sooners. The heartbreaking defeat disqualified the Tide from the SEC Title race and removed Kalen DeBoer’s squad from playoff contention. In a vicious display by the Bama QB, Jalen Milroe tried a soccer-style tackle on a Sooner CB after making an interception that was picked up for a TD. Undoubtedly, Milroe is a stellar performer. But this year, it appears that he is not the Milroe of the Saban dynasty; in the DeBoer dynasty, he sounds like a counterfeit. Thus, even CFB insiders admit.
After Jalen Milroe’s terrible play in consecutive games, Dan Wetzel exposed the imposter theory on November 25 in a Yahoo Sports YouTube video. He declared, “Alabama went to an Oklahoma team that wasn’t any good, and not only that they played horrible and you know I don’t like criticizing players but that must have been an imposter Jalen Milroe that couldn’t have been Jaylen Milroe.”
As per Dan’s belief, the Sooners kidnapped and switched in a man who resembled Jalen Milroe, or something similar. In addition, he said, “I don’t I mean it was that was a bad game by Alabama there was nothing in that game that made you say yeah let’s let’s make a big argument.“

It merely shows that the Yahoo Sports expert is upset with Milroe’s drop, considering his impressive 2023 performance. Under Saban, he recorded 2718 throwing yards, and 23 touchdowns, and maintained a 63% completion rate the previous season. Plus, he ran for 600 yards and scored nine running touchdowns, showcasing his dual-threat prowess as a QB. However, under DeBoer, he appears to be completely the opposite. Milroe had a terrible game, completing less than half of his attempts and throwing 3 interceptions and no touchdowns as the Crimson Tide were crushed by the unbeaten Sooners in a major setback.
Despite everything, the coach didn’t place the responsibility on his star quarterback because he believed in his commitment and perseverance. And for that reason, after this defeat, DeBoer said, “I looked in his eyes and think he’s come a long ways all season long, and just the way he wants to go out there and keep leading the team and guys kept fighting for him. That’s just pretty much what I shared with him, just have no regrets. I thought he kept battling.”

However, the quarterback acknowledges his subpar play and commends his teammate’s good defense. Learn this as well as the last time the program lost its chance to make the playoffs.
Jalen Milroe acknowledges his flaws
Knowing that he has guided Alabama through their difficult times this season allows Milroe to feel proud. The quarterback, though, is fully conscious of the mistakes he made in the defeat to the Sooners and the consequences of the pick-six. Milroe gave an honest assessment of the team’s performance after the devastating defeat that eliminated them from CFP.

“They’re a really good defense. I thought they played really hard. They have a lot of guys that are physical, and played really strong. And of course, when you play Alabama, you’re gonna get your best, especially here at home,” Milroe stated. But do you remember, like this year when they last lost the playoffs?
Well, Alabama has missed out on the NCAA’s biggest stage for just 3 seasons since the CFP structure was implemented in 2014. When the LSU were proclaimed National Champions in 2019, the Tide first lost out. And when the Bulldogs captured it all in 2022, they were unable to place in the top 4. And this year. Don’t be upset, though. There is yet more to come.
